Today we’d like to introduce you to JD Charles.
Hi JD, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello my name is Javes (JD) Charles .I have worked in Los Angeles and New York for the past decade finally achieved the status of a SAG Performer. I have worked in music videos,commercials,movies and shows .
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It was anything but smooth.I first came to finish my BFA Degree which was already a challenge in itself.I had financial issues so I had to hold numerous jobs while in school.Some of which that few were not so desirable. I had an issue trusting and meeting people. All of those issues plus my anxiety problems gave me alot of trials that im glad to have overcome
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m officially a SAG Performer thanks to many years of work and training.I studied dance and acting since the age of 12.I have been casted on many productions from small internet content to studio productions .My favorite productions I was featured in were music videos seeing as I dance. My favorite show that I was on was a CBS games show named Let’s Make Deal.Alot of my loved ones have been watching CBS and hopefully I get to be on a CBS soap.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was shy and unsure of what I wanted to do in life.I did mostly what I was told but never what I wanted ….at least not much. I wanted a career in performing much earlier but my parents urged another path so i was aimless for a while.That is until I got to college and my dance teacher reminded me of the love and aspirations I have for the art of performing.
I had a good amount of friends growing up and some people I wish to not have trusted .
