Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamille McClendon.
Hi Jamille, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In the winter of 2020, my life took a completely unexpected turn. At the time, I was working a secure city job—grateful, yet yearning for something more. When the opportunity arose to become a Notary Public, I accepted, not realizing that this small decision would become the doorway to my destiny.
A few months later, the pandemic changed everything. My city job declared bankruptcy, and I, along with hundreds of others, was laid off. It was a moment that could have broken me—but instead, it awakened me. I began a journey of self-discovery through mindfulness, therapy, and meditation. I made a vow to myself that fear would never lead my life again.
One morning, I noticed my Notary certificate on the floor beside my bed. It felt like a divine whisper—a reminder that everything I needed was already within me. That same day, I turned to YouTube for guidance and discovered Mark Wills’ Loan Signing System. I invested in myself, completed the training, and within months, began signing my very first loan documents.
What started as uncertainty transformed into a thriving Notary and Loan Signing business. Three years later, I was honored to be recognized as an “Extraordinary Notary” by a national title company—a moment that reaffirmed my belief that grace, discipline, and faith can turn setbacks into success stories.
Today, I’m proud to be regarded as one of Los Angeles’ most sought-after Notary and Loan Signing Agents. My mission goes beyond notarizations—I aim to inspire others, especially women starting over, to rise from life’s challenges with confidence, class, and courage. Because when you align faith with focused action, you don’t just rebuild—you redefine what’s possible.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—but every challenge shaped the woman and entrepreneur I’ve become.
In the beginning, building my Notary and Loan Signing business from the ground up required an unrelenting level of commitment. There were countless nights when I worked from 5 a.m. until midnight, determined to master my craft and provide the level of excellence my clients deserved. While others were sleeping, I was studying, strategizing, and taking appointments wherever I could.
There were sacrifices—many of them. I missed social gatherings, declined invitations, and often had to put my personal life on hold. There were moments when I couldn’t spend as much time with my daughter as I wanted, and that weighed heavily on my heart. But I knew I was building something bigger than myself—something that would eventually create more time, freedom, and stability for both of us.
I had moments of doubt, exhaustion, and even fear. But my will to create a better life was stronger than my circumstances. Every long night and every “no” I had to say was an investment in the “yes” I’m living now.
What kept me going was vision—the unwavering belief that if I stayed consistent and kept showing up with integrity, I would one day be living the life I once prayed for. And today, I’m proud to say that’s exactly what happened.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Notary Public and Certified Loan Signing Agent based in Los Angeles, specializing in a full range of real estate and estate-planning transactions. My expertise includes loan signings such as refinances, HELOCs, home purchases, home sales, and reverse mortgages, as well as notarizations for trusts, wills, and other legal documents that require precision and care.
What truly sets me apart is my approach at the signing table. I bring not just professionalism, but presence — a calm, reassuring energy that puts clients at ease during what can often be a stressful process. I’ve been told that my personality is altruistic — that I bring a sense of warmth and clarity to each interaction, whether I’m sitting with a first-time homebuyer, an attorney, or a seasoned real estate investor.
One of the proudest moments of my career was being recognized nationally as an Elite Notary by Solidifi Title, one of the largest title companies in the country. That acknowledgment affirmed what I’ve always believed: that excellence is built through consistency, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to service.
For me, this work is deeply personal. Each signing is more than paperwork — it’s the closing of one chapter and the opening of another. Whether helping a family secure their dream home or assisting attorneys and escrow offices with time-sensitive signings, I take pride in representing my clients with integrity and grace.
What sets me apart isn’t just my attention to detail — it’s the heart I bring to every transaction. My goal is always to elevate the client experience, ensuring that everyone at the table feels valued, respected, and understood.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is helping other Notaries and Loan Signing Agents find their confidence in this business. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel in the beginning — because I’ve been there.
I’ll never forget my very first signing. It was a refinance, and what was supposed to take an hour ended up taking two and a half. I printed the documents incorrectly, made multiple errors on the Notice of Right to Cancel, and even had to return to the signer’s home to redo everything — twice. I was anxious, embarrassed, and honestly, I questioned if I was cut out for this work.
But what I realized through that experience is that mastery comes from patience, review, and resilience. You have to trust the process and be willing to keep learning. That’s why mentorship matters so deeply to me. No one should feel like they have to figure it all out alone.
Today, I make it a priority to help new notaries and signing agents navigate this business with clarity and confidence. I teach them that excellence isn’t about perfection — it’s about preparation, professionalism, and presence.
At the signing table, I approach every client with that same patience and care. Many people signing real estate or trust documents don’t fully understand what they’re looking at, and I take pride in creating a calm, informed experience where they feel respected and reassured.
For me, success isn’t just measured in the number of signings completed — it’s measured in the number of lives impacted. When I can help another agent find their voice or help a client feel at peace during one of life’s biggest transactions, that’s what truly fulfills me.
