Conversations with Hannah Hosanna

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Hosanna

Hi Hannah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
At my core, I am an artist, a creator, and a visionary. Art has always been a part of me, and in the past year, I’ve produced more work than ever—including a piece now featured at Almond OBGYN in Melrose. Creativity fuels everything I do, whether in business, biotech, or my personal journey.

My husband and I always knew we wanted to build a business together—one that would not only provide for our family but also make a lasting impact on communities close to our hearts, like children, widows, and orphans in Honduras. When we met an incredible entrepreneur—now a dear friend—we worked tirelessly to earn her mentorship, which led us to becoming Amway Independent Business Owners.

Meanwhile, I’ve also built a career in biotech, working with a company in El Segundo that specializes in CAR T-cell therapy for cancer patients. As a workplace experience specialist on the facility team, I collaborate closely with public affairs, ensuring that innovation thrives in an environment built to support life-changing work.

Then, in August 2024, we welcomed our baby boy into the world. Becoming a mami shifted everything—our work ethic, vision, and drive skyrocketed. Just a few months later, on January 3, 2025, I was diagnosed with a rare but very treatable Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (extra-nodal DLBCL). While this challenge was unexpected, I’ve been receiving the best care while undergoing chemotherapy. More importantly, this experience has strengthened my spiritual and physical walk in ways I never imagined. I know I must get through this, and I have unwavering faith in my healer and ultimate physician, Jesus Christ.

Through every challenge, I’ve learned that identity is everything. One of my biggest hurdles was working on my self-image—learning to see the love, strength, and potential within myself. That journey has led to breakthrough after breakthrough, and today, I am more passionate than ever about helping others uncover their own power.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. The road has been full of twists, challenges, and moments of deep reflection. One of my biggest struggles was shifting from a scarcity mindset to an abundance mindset—learning that success isn’t about simply working harder but about thinking bigger, believing in more, and knowing that there is always enough.

Balancing my biotech career with my business and family has also been a challenge. While I deeply respect the mission of my company, my family and business are my top priorities. Learning how to manage my time, set boundaries, and make decisions that align with my values has been a journey in itself.

Then, just months after becoming a mami, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. That diagnosis changed everything—what I eat, how I rest, how I spend my time. With a six-month-old baby, slowing down wasn’t exactly in my plans, but I’ve found so much wisdom in this season. I’m learning about gut health, being intentional about what I listen to and read, and truly valuing the time I have. And somehow, in the midst of it all, our laughter has become louder, our patience deeper, and our love stronger. There’s a beautiful clarity that comes from facing adversity, and I’m grateful for the way it’s shaping me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work is about creating and sharing different experiences and reflections on life. There’s a beauty in my pieces—something gentle yet bold, but never scary. I emphasize the good, the pure, the lovely, and the uplifting. I want my art to remind people that life is more than tragedy, heartbreak, or darkness—it is so much more than that. I specialize in multiple mediums, including oil paint, chalk pastels, and colored pencils, and I take pride in bringing a sense of light and hope into everything I create.

What makes my perspective unique is the intersection of my experiences. I have been both an entrepreneur and an employee, which is not uncommon. But working in biotech, supporting a company that treats cancer patients—while now being a cancer patient myself—gives me a dual-edged perspective that is rare. That reality is starting to show up in my art and in my faith. Faith is not often talked about in mainstream media or the medical field, but my personal testimony strengthens my outlook on life, and I express that not just in my artwork, but in how I mentor others in business and life.

Even at just 28 years old, I’ve gained a deepened perspective that shapes how I engage with people, whether in art, business, or personal connections. I’m most inspired by the way I’ve been able to take my experiences—both the beautiful and the difficult—and turn them into something that inspires and uplifts others.
