Conversations with Garine Kiroian

Today we’d like to introduce you to Garine Kiroian.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well I wasn’t always in the visual arts although that ran through my veins I actually was an elementary teacher for 10 years, finished my Masters in Human Development along with that. I didn’t feel fulfilled, I was being terribly treated at my work and I needed a creative outlet. I always had an eye for space always loved making my home a place of beauty and that really sparked a fun idea of starting my own staging business. So while I worked I also slowly build my clients and tried to master my eye for staging these lovely homes I get the opportunity to transform.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No road is smooth, there’s always challenges with every journey. Some challenges was the self inflicted pressure of timeliness, and that pushed me to build a schedule that I and my clientele can work with. In real estate sometimes it can be cut throat, it teaches you to be more flexible and roll with the punches.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I stage and style homes. I love using real everyday items and create spaces that look like a space that memories can be built and spaces that give potential home buyers ideas of use of the space. All in all its the feeling I usually want to accomplish when a person walks through the doors.
