Conversations with Erin Williams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Williams

Erin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have owned and operated my own businesses since I was 19 and I am now 34 so I have always had a passion of running my own company and creating my business and income.

I have also wanted to start a product based business and Glam actually started back when I was living in Melbourne Australia (I am Australian) throughout covid. From there we have had a few changes including the name and a lot of growth. Now I am living in LA full time we have really pushed our focus on retail and growing the brand to a new level.

It’s exciting watching it grow, change and evolve. I love being able to create new products and we are really working on bringing something out that is so different our consumers will love!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not! Ha… I have 3 businesses so my day to days can be quite challenging from client work to the brand work and overall never ending to do lists.

I would say some of the biggest challenges are staying on top of everything for the brands from design, new products, packing, warehouses, contracts etc!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As mentioned earlier I have owned my own businesses since I was 19 and I am now 34. So I have gone through a lot of ups and downs. Some really amazing moments that I never thought would happen or i’d achieve and then some really stressful times like many business owners go through.

I have digital magazines that were originally print and some of the people we have had on our covers have been incredible and something I never thought i’d achieve! Which was super cool to be part of.

With my brands, I am extremely proud of how far Glam is coming along and what we are achieving so early on in the US being such a new brand. I like to think I work really hard and I when I put my mind to something I will make sure I can do anything to achieve it.

How do you think about happiness?
Seeing my hard work come to life! When you start and build your own business I think most business owners would say they go through ups and downs. It’s inevitable. So when things are going great and you’re succeeding it makes you feel proud and you know the hard work, long day and very stressful times always works out.
