Conversations with Erica Herron

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica Herron.

Hi Erica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My interest in photography started back in 2011 when I moved to Georgia from Florida. I worked at a Picture Me Studio and just fell in love! Fast forward 2018 after my second child and living in Italy at the time, it really took my photography to another level with the scenic views, amazing creative and open-minded clients, it was just amazing being there! I am here in the beautiful SoCal a little over a year now expanding myself and brand into more Wedding Photography. Capturing love and raw emotion has really been the base of my work and I can’t wait to see how much further I continue to grow and evolve!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t always been a smooth road especially moving all the time. Although amazing to travel, it can be hard to start over! I am very grateful however for the amazing people I have met along the way who believe in my work and choose me every time to be a part of those moments with them and to capture it all!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I love to consider myself a VERY well-rounded photographer I have done it all from Family, Branding, Smash cakes, Anniversary Celebrations, Sweet 15/16s, you name it I’ve done it! As of now, I am currently grounded with my true passion in the photography world and that’s with Weddings and Boudoir! I absolutely love love and I mean Love for not just someone else but also YOURSELF!! I love capturing the love between two souls especially on the biggest day of their lives! As well as capturing the pure joy of someone loving on their truest self! It truly makes me proud when I can deliver an Album to a client and they are beyond happy with their results! Makes me proud to know that I froze those special moments forever! I capture the love!! My personality and ability to get people out of their comfort zones is what I think set me apart outside of the fact that I’m cooler than the other side of the pillow hahaha! But I truly believe I have a way of making others just feel comfortable simply by me being myself!

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
This is always such an interesting question because I feel the older we get, the things that once matter don’t or the things that didn’t do so it’s always changing! I will give you my top 5 that change in order depending on the day of the week hahahaha.

My kids will always matter.
My peace without it I can’t create.
My Love for myself (which is something I am discovering the older and wiser I become).
My Photography.
My Respect and bonus because I feel we can all relate as professionals My Time!
