Conversations with David Sarian

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Sarian

Hi David, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We are Burger 3000, a team passionate about both innovation and quality in the burger world. Our journey started as a street pop-up, where we set out to craft the ultimate Oklahoma-style smash burger using premium Australian Wagyu and a fully halal menu. The response was incredible—we quickly became a local favorite, and within just six months, we transitioned into a brick-and-mortar location.

We’ve built Burger 3000 to be the most modern, futuristic burger place, combining high-quality ingredients, bold branding, and a unique approach to fast casual dining.

While growing the brand, we continue to push creative boundaries beyond just food. Our background in filmmaking and visual storytelling plays a huge role in how we shape our identity, making every part of the Burger 3000 experience feel cinematic.

It’s been an exciting journey, and we’re just getting started!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges we faced was the weather when we were still operating as a street pop-up. Rain would ruin our business multiple times, making it nearly impossible to operate. But despite the bad weather, people still kept showing up, eager to get our burgers. The problem was, we couldn’t serve properly under those conditions, and it was frustrating knowing that demand was there, but we weren’t able to meet it.

That struggle pushed us to move into a permanent location as quickly as possible. It wasn’t easy, but it was necessary to grow. Now, with our brick-and-mortar spot, we don’t have to worry about rain shutting us down, and we can focus on what we do best—making amazing burgers.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What sets us apart is our attention to detail—from the quality of ingredients to the visual branding. Our background in filmmaking and storytelling plays a huge role in how we present our brand, making it feel more like a cinematic experience rather than just another burger spot.

We’re most proud of how fast we’ve grown—from a street pop-up battling the elements to a brick-and-mortar that has become a favorite among burger lovers. But this is just the beginning. We’re constantly evolving, refining, and pushing boundaries to make Burger 3000 something truly one of a kind.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson we’ve learned is that demand alone isn’t enough—you have to be prepared to meet it.

When we started as a street pop-up, we saw firsthand how much people loved our burgers. Even when the rain ruined our setup, customers still showed up. But we couldn’t always serve them properly because of the conditions. That taught us a crucial lesson: if you want to grow, you have to remove obstacles before they stop you.

That mindset pushed us to move into a permanent location, refine our operations, and think long-term. It’s not just about having a great product—it’s about creating a system that allows you to consistently deliver it, no matter what challenges come your way.
