Today we’d like to introduce you to Brynne Zaniboni.
Hi Brynne, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Before I ever picked up a camera, I was working in the world of women’s empowerment. I started out teaching high school sex ed with Planned Parenthood, then moved into reproductive health nonprofits, and eventually ran programs at Dress for Success to help women escape poverty. The mission meant everything to me, but the burnout was real. Long hours, little pay, and zero space for creativity.
I knew life was too short to feel stuck, so I made a leap.
Boudoir had always intrigued me. Even as a kid, I was fascinated by Playboy, drawn to the beauty, the confidence, the sexiness of it all. That spark never really left me. In 2015, I decided to go for it. I had studied photography a little in college, but I was far from a pro. Still, I had a vision for what I wanted my work to look like, and I knew I could figure it out. So I taught myself! Hours and hours of free resources, trial and error, and eventually, a style that felt like me came out.
My first session was with a model who was so kind and understanding. I remember being so proud of the photos I took (though looking back, they were a little heavy on the editing)! But it was the beginning of something real. I finally had the creative outlet I’d been craving, and I still got to empower women, just in a very different, very beautiful way.
Fast forward to now: I’ve photographed over a thousand women. My studio is a minimalist loft in Downtown Los Angeles with big windows and even bigger vibes. It’s just me and my hair/makeup artist. We’re a small tem by design, so the space stays intimate and safe. I offer three packages depending on what someone’s looking for, whether it’s a full-on experience with all the bells and whistles, a discreet gift for a partner, or a chance to turn yourself into wall art.
What drives me is this: most of my clients come in feeling a little nervous. They think they’re not photogenic. They mention insecurities. They say things like, “I’m doing this for my fiancé.” But they leave realizing they did it for themselves. They feel beautiful, sexy, and powerful. They see themselves in a new light. And that? That’s the real gift.
Boudoir, to me, isn’t just a photoshoot. It’s part of your legacy. It’s something you’ll look back on and think, “Damn, I was a masterpiece.” I believe that with my whole heart.
I’m not trying to scale or franchise or take over the world. I just want to keep doing what I love. Working with amazing clients, creating something meaningful, and helping people see themselves the way I see them: stunning, worthy, and entirely enough.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t all been smooth sailing. In the early days, I constantly questioned if I was “good enough” as a photographer, a business owner, even just creatively. I didn’t have all the gear, training, or confidence, and imposter syndrome was loud. I juggled side gigs, said yes to everything, and made a ton of mistakes figuring out what kind of business I actually wanted to run. There were slow seasons where I worried if anyone would ever book again, and moments where I felt like giving up. Learning to set boundaries, trust my instincts, and keep showing up has been one of the hardest and most important parts of this journey.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a boudoir photographer based in Los Angeles, and I specialize in creating intimate, minimalist, and emotionally powerful portrait sessions for women. My work is rooted in empowerment, not just the buzzword version, but the real, deep kind that happens when someone sees themselves in a photo and finally recognizes their beauty, strength, and worth.
I’m known for creating a calm, safe, no-pressure experience, especially for clients who’ve never done anything like this before and might be feeling nervous or unsure. I don’t do hard sales. I don’t push people outside their comfort zone. What I do is guide them into a space where they can feel fully themselves. I shoot in natural light, with a minimalist studio that keeps the focus exactly where it belongs: on the person in front of the lens.
What I’m most proud of? Honestly, it’s not the images themselves (though I love them). It’s the messages I get from clients after their shoot. The “I can’t believe that’s me” texts. The women who cry when they see their photos, because they’re seeing themselves without the filter of criticism for the first time in years. I’ve worked with over a thousand clients, and every one of those sessions is part of a much bigger story of self-love and confidence.
What sets me apart is that I’ve built my business on honesty and connection, not gimmicks or trends. I come from a background in nonprofit women’s empowerment, and that lens informs everything I do. My clients aren’t just a “niche,” they’re people I deeply care about, and I treat their time and trust with the respect it deserves. Boudoir can be beautiful, sensual, bold, but it can also be healing. That’s the magic I try to create.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Anything with my dad. He passed away a year before I started my business and he was always my biggest fan.
