Conversations with Brian Dabul

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Dabul.

Hi Brian , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born and raised in Argentina, a country where tennis holds deep cultural significance. From the age of 5, tennis became my lifelong pursuit. At 17, I reached the No. 1 position in the ITF junior world rankings, winning elite international tournaments such as the Orange Bowl and the Bonfiglio Cup. I then spent over a decade competing on the ATP Tour, achieving a career-high ranking inside the Top 100 and maintaining that level for 6 consecutive years.

Following my professional career, I transitioned into coaching and tennis development. I founded and managed four successful academies in Ecuador, later relocating to Miami where I ran a high-performance academy for four years. Since 2020, I have been based in Los Angeles, working exclusively with competitive players and select adult clients. With over 11 years of coaching experience, my passion lies in helping players unlock their full potential—both technically and mentally—through elite-level training and mentorship.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I truly believe that a life in tennis is a privileged one. At least for me, it always has been—and continues to be—because I’ve been passionate about the sport since day one and I still enjoy it deeply. Tennis has been one of the most important parts of my life.

Of course, as a player, you make a lot of sacrifices—missing time with family and friends, important milestones like birthdays, and living much of your life on the road. But I’ve always felt that those sacrifices were worth it when you’re chasing your dreams and genuinely enjoying the journey

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What sets me apart is my deep passion for the sport, my ability to connect with players of all ages, and my unique perspective as someone who has experienced tennis at the highest level. Tennis changed my life, and I’ve made it my mission to help others transform theirs through the gam

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I’ve always been someone who knew exactly what I wanted from a young age. I was clear about my goals early on, and I was fortunate to work with top-level coaches who helped shape my talent and turned me into the player I became. Growing up in Argentina, I also developed a deep love for soccer — I played since I was a kid and built friendships through the sport that have lasted a lifetime
