Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandi Ty’Ell.
Hi Brandi, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m from South Jersey. I started off dancing and acting when I was 4. I started doing musicals in high school and then majored in theater in college and film at Full Sail University in Florida. I started working at a modeling agency as a photographer and I started getting into Kpop. I decided I wanted to move to Korea and pursue photography there. After two years in Florida, I moved to LA. I was doing photography and acting while learning Korean to prepare for my future move. After a while, I started modeling and put photography on hold. The pandemic hit and my modeling really took off. I finally got my visa for Korea, so I moved and started modeling in Korea. I’ve modeled for brands like Kim Kardashian Skims”, Ariana Grande ” R.E.M Beauty”, Etude, Apple, Levi’s, and Call of Duty.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Learning Korean was a big struggle for me as well as Covid. It delayed my plans and I went home to visit my mom and came back and didn’t have a place to live because everything shut down and I had to postpone my Korea trip. Also, something happened in Korea with the agency that I was supposed to sign with, so that delayed my plans as well. Living in LA is already hard with it being so expensive, so that was also hard.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a fashion/Beauty, Print and commercial model. I specialize in Beauty Modeling. I’m known for my many faces and great Model expressions. I’m most proud of moving to Korea and becoming and international Model.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see myself hopefully getting married and having kids. I also want to open up my own Mother Agency. I also would like to get back into acting.
