Today we’d like to introduce you to Benedictar Sibanda.
Hi Benedictar, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey in 2018, growing up my family and everyone l met would say, you would make a great model, but l just thought they were just saying it. Then in 2018 l resigned from my full-time job as a Private Investigator & joined a modelling agency & well from there everything l had dreamed about started aligning. I became a fashion and commercial model. Appeared on a few reality tv shows, was a covergirl for some great magazines, appeared on well-known newspapers, walked the runway for some of my favorite designers and worked with some of the coolest photographers & well the rest is history as we continue winning by God’s grace.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, l have had my height be a problem with regards to ramp work but l have always believed that when it’s your time it will always work out & by his grace it always worked out.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am what you call a Versatile Model/Artists. I dabble in everything because l am an artist. I do Fashion & commercial modeling, as well as Editorial & l am a brand ambassador for some of the best brands. My proudest moment was when l became a cover model, something l had always dreamed of & of course when l was chosen out of 100s of people to represent South Africa as a brand ambassador for a Netherlands Brand called Empress Heels & also seeing myself on TV. I mean, Girl, your dreams are valid & they are happening.
