Today we’d like to introduce you to Babyface Threez
Hi Babyface, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m from Oakland, California I started making music in Los Angeles specifically West LA when I was 19, as a producer that found a passion for rapping through freestyling and making covers to other artists hit songs
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There has been some ups and downs but nothing discouraging enough to make me quit “like nip said the only distinguishing quality I had was I didn’t quit” so with hearing one of my inspirations authentically be himself and not stop I just decided to keep it moving even without a legal team, personal producer or manager because I knew I’d get there eventually.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I make music to express myself in a way rappers don’t do nowadays. What I create is for multiple demographics, but specifically tailored for woman to get a better understanding on the aftermath of a relationship or problems within a relationship from the male perspective. Which again I feel like is not something I see male rappers doing nowadays, so I can say I’m most proud of that because that’s also what sets me apart from my peers especially in the California rap scene.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success by the accomplishments of the little things due to what all those little things together can create
