Today we’d like to introduce you to Alfonso Califano

Hi alfonso, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Alfonso is born in 1971 in Italy ,Tuscany,Florence..
First motorcycle ride at 4yo.
Alfonso start working at age 15 as employee, just after finished the school and since then it is been a contiuos excalation in the 2 wheels world.
start recing at age 19 yo on dirt bike races after been able to buy a car and trailer.
open first owm motorcycle shop in 1999 in province of Siena, Italy.
in 2009 decided to move to industrial zone closer to siena city with a big showroom and working place, after few year got decision to move inside Siena city opening a new shop.
whith a long racing career as a pro racer on dirt bike and supermoto.
here 2013 came and the big decision to make the American dream real is come, and yes 2013 it is been the right year, everything went smooth and in march 2023 the unique Cycles was born.
unique Cycles West Coast was stabilished in 2013 in Morovia Ca.
After several hard years the UCWC start growing up and in the 2021 took a decision to expand the shop.
in 2019 thanks to a deal made with a friend/customer i got a sportbike and start to do few track days a year.
on 2023 took a big decision to go back on race in a new specialty for me of Road Racing with Aprilia RS660 and SUMO with Honda CRF250R
after a very satisfying 2023/24 season Road racing decide to sign up for next AMA racing season..
who know the future we will see…

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
no is not a smooth road,
it is been very though for several year it took around 5 yeas to get the right customers and to see the shop start growing…
linguage was the main concern since my english was not so good and $$$ too since i was invested all i had for this project.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
my job consist in fixing/repair motorcycle all brands, i am actually old school which is not very common to find.
i did a lot of customizations from scratch for customers now i am more dedicated to a tires shop and work shop

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
fortune role gave me health that allowed me to be strong in the hard times and decisions to take…my experience makes me able to solve many problems met on my journey, luck gave me the possibility to be accepted from this new society of USA
