Hi Alexis, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey has been a blend of passion, innovation, and resilience, driven by a desire to create meaningful impact and inspire others. It all began when I launched my first e-commerce brand, Pleasant Pumps, a line of comfortable high heels for women. This venture was funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign and sold on Amazon, demonstrating my knack for identifying market needs and leveraging digital funding platforms to bring products to life.

Following this success, I founded and managed a nationwide company specializing in children’s party entertainment. This experience allowed me to develop robust operational skills and manage a diverse team across various locations, further honing my leadership and strategic planning abilities.

Building on these experiences, I founded Bippity, a dynamic platform that connects remote-working business owners and entrepreneurs. My inspiration for Bippity stemmed from a desire to create a supportive and educational community for children’s party entertainment company owners around the world. Overseeing a global community of over 100 remote students, I cultivated an environment of collaboration and growth, empowering members to scale their businesses and reach their full potential. This role honed my skills in community management, customer success, and digital marketing, making me adept at nurturing and expanding virtual networks.

Parallel to my professional endeavors, I’ve spent the last seven years as a digital nomad, traveling full-time as a home and pet sitter. This lifestyle has enriched my perspective, enabling me to build connections with diverse individuals and cultures around the globe. It has also instilled in me a profound adaptability and a deep understanding of remote work dynamics.

Recently, I successfully exited my businesses, which has provided me with invaluable insights into the full lifecycle of entrepreneurship, from inception to sale. Now, I’m excited to transition into new opportunities where I can apply my expertise in digital marketing, community building, and customer success to drive growth and innovation for forward-thinking companies.

I am passionate about leveraging my experience to help businesses thrive in the digital age. Whether it’s leading sales teams, building vibrant communities, or crafting strategic marketing campaigns, I bring a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit and practical know-how. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey has been anything but smooth, filled with numerous challenges and obstacles. Being the first entrepreneur and business owner in my family, I lacked a blueprint or immediate support network to guide me through the complexities of building a business. I am entirely self-taught, and this path was fraught with difficulties, especially in the early stages when funding was scarce. I had to bootstrap my ventures, constantly finding creative ways to stretch limited resources while maintaining quality and growth.

One of the most disheartening challenges was dealing with some of my contractors who engaged in bullying, harassment, and even theft. These negative experiences were not only financially draining but also emotionally taxing. They tested my resilience and commitment, but ultimately, they strengthened my resolve to succeed and fostered my growth as a leader.

Creating a coaching platform for women in the children’s party entertainment industry presented its own unique set of challenges. The industry is often marked by a toxic and volatile competitive spirit among company owners, making it difficult to foster a sense of community and mutual support. Establishing Bippity was a labor of love and determination. I faced significant pushback and skepticism from peers who were more inclined to see each other as rivals rather than collaborators.

Despite these hurdles, I persevered. I was driven by a desire to create a supportive and educational space where women could share knowledge, uplift each other, and grow their businesses together. It was challenging to break through the entrenched competitive barriers and build trust within the community, but the success stories and transformations I witnessed made every struggle worthwhile.

These experiences have taught me invaluable lessons in resilience, adaptability, and the importance of building a strong, supportive network. They have shaped me into a stronger, more compassionate leader, and I am deeply committed to using my journey to inspire and support others facing similar challenges.

My expertise lies in understanding market needs, developing strategic solutions, and fostering growth through innovative business models. One of my most significant achievements is creating Bippity, a global community for children’s party entertainment company owners. This platform was born from my desire to provide a supportive and educational environment for entrepreneurs in a niche industry. Through Bippity, I have been able to offer valuable resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities, helping business owners thrive in a competitive market.

My experience as a digital nomad for the past seven years has enriched my perspective and enabled me to connect with a diverse range of individuals. This global outlook is a unique asset that enhances my ability to build and manage inclusive, supportive communities.

I am most proud of the positive impact my work has had on others. From boosting women’s confidence with the perfect pair of heels to guiding entrepreneurs through their business journeys, the changes I’ve facilitated are my greatest achievements. My commitment to innovation and uplifting others drives me to continue making a difference in the lives of those I work with.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
One book that profoundly changed my life and continues to inspire me daily is “You Are A Badass” by Jen Sincero. This book helped me shift my mindset and recognize my potential both personally and professionally. Sincero’s empowering messages and practical advice resonated deeply with me, encouraging me to take bold steps in my entrepreneurial journey and overcome self-doubt.

The principles I learned from “You Are A Badass” have been instrumental in my approach to business and life. They taught me the importance of self-belief, resilience, and the power of positive thinking. This shift in mindset has been crucial in navigating the challenges I’ve faced as an entrepreneur and has empowered me to build successful ventures like Pleasant Pumps and Bippity.
