Today we’d like to introduce you to Aditya Jain.

Aditya Jain

Hi Aditya, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started off as a Data Visualization designer and developer interested in creative research spaces. The mid-2010s were an exciting time to be a graphics developer with a lot of innovations in front-end tooling and graphics development, and though I miss it, I’m really happy that it led me to a somewhat more traditional path of software engineering. I’m currently a Full Stack developer at The Washington Post, where I’ve worked at for the past 4 years.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest challenge is to stay on top of your game and keep evolving your skillset with the passage of time. This is a challenging space because digital tools evolve much faster than any traditional tools of artistry or craftsmanship.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in creating rich interactive experiences on the web through my skills in Data Visualization Design and Development. I also have extensive experience with Software Engineering, which really helps me push the limits of what I can design and build. One of my biggest wins was to see a graphic I worked on included on the front page of The Washington Post edition that declared the winner of the 2020 election.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I’ve been lucky to have had the privilege of a good education and the love of my friends and family. I count my blessings every day!
