Today we’d like to introduce you to Mirage Zamprioli.
Hi Mirage, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started out in music in 2008 when I attended S.A.E. Los Angeles to study audio engineering. After I graduated, I began mixing and producing music for clients. I worked at various studios until 2013 when I started signalflowstudios. For the past few years, I worked on creating music for film and television and also recorded and produced through the studio. A large amount of my work has been on MTV’s Catfish. In 2018, I created my solo project “Andante”. This project is an homage to the sounds of the 1980s that I grew up with. Under that name, I have released 2 EP’s and numerous singles. My main focus now is “Andante”. As far as the music, I create all of it from start to finish.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a challenge to say the least but I feel my music has benefited from the struggle. My wife and I had a child in 2014 directly after I opened the studio and that was a difficult thing to balance. Overall I have had a lot of rejection like most but that does not slow me down. When I decided to follow my heart and create the music, I love my audience opened up.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. I am most proud of the last Project “What the Funk is Love” I completed. I feel it represents me and my music perfectly.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
All the different landscapes. Ocean, mountains, desert, city. I do not like the fact people that move here give the city a bad name. It is a temporary stop for dreamers but some of us grew up here and it is our city.
