Conversations with Eve Ybarra

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eve Ybarra.

Hi Eve, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always been passionate about art and meeting people since I was a kid. From music concerts, paintings, to how dope nature is. There is nothing more exciting than creating something in this beautiful crazy world and meeting people during the process. I started working in the flooring/home remodeling industry very young and started developing kitchen and bath designing! It’s pretty dope helping people choose new looks for their homes. Within that time, I started living a long-term life with a music team. I would get off my 9-5 job and go straight to music mode. Helping my former artist get interviews, shows, etc. Got so good that I started hosting my own (with former partner) music festivals. Had such a great time doing it. I was more of the background scene, making the business moves. Over the time, I grew a need for something deeper out of life, for myself. BUT I had to bump my head for me to realize that…..

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At the time, I was doing SO MUCH that I didn’t realize my personal life was not what I NEEDED in my life. I felt I was doing so much, and WORTH so much, that I started analyzing everything around me WHILE partying my butt off. The time came where I partied a little too hard that I got in a huge car accident, that I ended up in trauma. God got me through, and my life completely changed… I stopped my music BUSINESS life, cause let’s be honest, music life in general is FOREVER, and I got more into sales with day job (got a huge promotion), and I now have my own ear drip line! Yup! BrightLadyys collection. I create different styles, from wire to VINYL record earrings! I am also in the talks with beginning a Podcast with one of my lady friends, that is such a BOSS, Ms. Brittney Parker. (COMING SOON)

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I like to tap in a few different things but my most favorite at the time is creating my earring line that I have for sale @brightLadyysCollection. People tend to fall in love with the vinyl record ones. I have a line of music artists already on them, but I also custom make what the client wants. I have NEVER seen anyone else do what I’m doing, and I think that’s pretty LIT, haha.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love how hard-working LA is. There is SOOOO much talent out here. (LA and also the Inland Empire). I grew up in El Monte, CA. I wasn’t exposed to diversity like that, so me being me, I always made it a habit to meet people outside of just my city. There’s so much out here for the world to see.
