Conversations with Chad Singer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chad Singer.

Hi Chad, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was waiting tables and pursuing acting until I met my wife. When we had started dating, waiting for my big break was no big deal but as the years passed, I realized that there was no way I could start a life with her while waiting on an opportunity that might never come. I started looking into careers that I thought I could be good at, where I could help people and ultimately pay the bills, which lead me to real estate. The first couple of years were a hustle but the whole time Jordan believed in me every step of the way. I have now been in real estate for five years and am on Amalfi Estates one of the top real estate teams in Los Angeles.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Having no college degree and being 23 years old and trying to have people buy and sell their homes with you when you don’t even own a home yourself is pretty challenging. Coupled with the fact that none of my friends in their early 20’s were looking to buy or sell a home didn’t help matters either. I started working open houses every weekend to meet potential clients, I would door-knock for hours in neighborhoods and cold call just looking for a warm lead. I had gone from acting where rejection was everywhere to real estate where you could argue there was even more rejection. After hours and hours and months of no’s I finally got my first yes and that was all I needed.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am Realtor with Amalfi Estates. We are the number #1 team in the Pacific Palisades and we service the Westside of Los Angeles. Our specialty is luxury home sales. We donate 10 percent of every commission we make to one of 5 charities we work for hand in with and we let our client choose. Since 2015 our real estate team has donated over $1,000,000 and helped over 1,000 families and pets through our charities.

What makes you happy?
Being of use, helping others, and making a difference in people’s lives. When I help someone find their home, I help them in one of their biggest life moments. It will be where they live their life, have and raise kids, and make all of their memories and I’m happy I get to have apart in that.
