Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Zack.
Taylor, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve spent over a decade working in residential interiors – I got my start in construction and I was just always driven by a fascination with how design can really shape the way people live. What began as hands-on experience quickly evolved into a deeper understanding of the industry, collaborating closely with contractors, artisans, and clients, and learning that strong design is rooted in both creativity as well as process.
That foundation led me to launch Rever Design Co., where we create bold, modern, and organic interiors with an editorial point of view influenced by fashion, art, and architecture. I approach each project as it’s own complete narrative.
My path hasn’t been linear. Navigating entrepreneurship, motherhood, and growth has refined how I work today with more clarity, intention, and confidence in my perspective. I’m currently expanding my work to the East Coast while building a more personal platform that documents creative evolution, intentional living, and the in-between moments that shape both life and business.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been navigating entrepreneurship largely on my own, balancing the creative side of design with the operational, financial, and logistical realities of running a business. Like many small business owners, I’ve had to learn quickly, adapt constantly, and make decisions without a roadmap.
Motherhood added another layer, forcing me to rethink how I structure my time, energy, and priorities. There have also been moments of uncertainty during market shifts where I had to refine my services, reassess what was truly sustainable, and get clearer about where I wanted to focus my creativity.
Those challenges ultimately shaped the way I work today. They pushed me to build with more intention, set stronger boundaries, and trust my point of view, both creatively and professionally.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Rever Design Co. ?
Rever Design Co. is a residential interior design studio creating bold, modern, and organic homes with an editorial point of view. Our work is rooted in thoughtful storytelling, designing spaces that feel layered, intentional, and deeply personal rather than trend-driven.
We specialize in creative direction and curated interiors for clients who value strong visual perspective, quality craftsmanship, and long-term design investment. Fashion, art, and architecture heavily influence our process, and each project is approached as a cohesive narrative from concept through execution.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Most of my favorite childhood memories involve spending time with my grandmother. We were always creating together. Sewing, doing arts and crafts, and making small handmade pieces that felt special. Those moments sparked my love for creativity and working with my hands, and I still have many of the things we made together today.
