Hi Roula , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey in the business and marketing world back in 2008 running a printing company alongside my late husband. In 2020, I embarked a new journey in the beauty industry and became a licensed esthetician with mastering courses by Beauty collaborative, plus adding my addiction to brows with graduating from Beauty Angels Academy as a permanent make up artist. Thriving to do the best and follow my dreams of creating my own beauty brand, I started LANA BEAUTY, a brand to offer clients top notch products such as LED and Microcurrent devices. I didn’t want to stop there, I invented a facial mitt made from natural material that is used with water only, making it as easy and convenient as possible for clients to use. As a business woman, I never stop and always looking for new ideas and things to come up with that are useful. So, as an esthetician, I tried a split towel that was microfiber but I wasn’t a fan of it, so I made new split towels that are Terry cloth cotton and now my products are sold on Amazon 🙂
I recently rebranded the printing company and started a new company PrintPro4Less. Using my 10+ year experience in the printing production, graphic design and marketing, I offer printing products from business cards to large format. So whether you need a banner, a catalog or postcards, you will find it at printpro4less.
My motivation? My kids for sure. As a widow and mom, I hustle everyday to make it a better world for them, and have no plan to stop anytime soon.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Who didn’t have turbulences and obstacles along the way? Starting a solo business fresh out of school isn’t easy in general, and when they say the first 2 years are the hardest, they weren’t kidding. It was smooth in the beginning, but unfortunately I lost both my dad and husband 19 weeks apart in 2022, and that was my struggle. Taking care of my kids, the business, his business and trying to find time to grieve. That struggle didn’t push me back, I pushed through it all and made sure I balanced it all. Thanks to my traits I inherited from my dad, resilience and perseverance.

LANA BEAUTY BAR has 2 branches- BROWZ by LBB and LANA BEAUTY. Whether it’s my esthetician hat I have on, my PMU artist hat, or the Brand owner of LANA BEAUTY hat, I enjoy every minute of working.
On top of being an esthetician, PMU artist and a brand owner, I teach THE SOLO ESTY 101 class, where I can help new graduates start their beauty journey fearless. Offering them a course that talks about marketing, ethics, retail and more.
As an esthetician, my goal is not only to offer the relaxation, but to focus as well on facial TREATMENTS. Assisting clients to feel confident in their natural beauty and never hide behind their makeup. I attended DMK International Courses and became a DMK certified skin therapist, because I found the “Facial Treatment” I was looking for to offer my clients to go beyond the basics of a facial. Alongside my DMK treatments, I offer GlO2 GeneoX treatments, peels, and more. My clients rave about the facials and my retail line of DMK skincare, and this is proof that I chose the right brand that wow’s clients.
As a PMU Artist, Brows are my addiction. Offering mciroblading, Shading, Nano brows, Tinting and lamination. Giving clients a set of new brows is my goal. Choosing the right products is key in this industry, more than just having any products and using them. It’s always important to me to go the extra mile when it comes to working on the client’s brows, regardless of the services being performed, mapping is always the start, so taking extra time even if it’s a brow waxing only appointment.
LANA BEAUTY, my “proud moment”. brand 🙂 Offering clients products and inventions that send me back five star reviews. I get to put on my creative hat and get into action. Some of my products are- The Gold LED Mask, Lifting device, Microcurrent device, Spot LED treatment device, Body exfoliating mitt, Facial Exfoliating mitt and the split towels. My printing experience motivated me to restart our company. Focusing on marketing and helping businesses cut down their cost on all their printing needs. Call me crazy, but that’s what entrepreneurship is all about. Printing products like business cards, mailers, banners, cards etc.
How do you define success?
Success comes from patience and never giving up. Set your goals, plan right and move forward. Never procrastinate nor give up. When things slow down, no appointments and orders, it’s ok. Think outside the box and try to come up with something different and unique and sets you a part. When you get to walk into your business with a smile on your face, that’s success. When you get a 5 start review from a client, that’s success. Never stop, the sky is the limit.
