I grew up in the Eastern part of Nigeria, a region deeply rooted in entrepreneurship and resilience. From a young age, I witnessed the dedication, resourcefulness, and grit required to succeed in business. Each day, after school and once my assignments were completed, I would make my way to my mother’s retail business hub, where I learned the value of hard work, trust, and building relationships. Watching my mother navigate the complexities of customer acquisition, marketing strategies, and negotiations instilled in me a profound understanding of the business world.

By high school, I had already launched my own small venture, putting into practice the principles I had learned from my mother. It was during this time that I discovered my true passion for entrepreneurship and began to understand the delicate balance between opportunity and risk, as well as the importance of building trust and value through every interaction. I vividly recall telling my mother and repeating it so often that it became a family motto, that I would build luxurious duplexes when I grow up. That vision became a defining part of my aspirations.

As my entrepreneurial journey progressed, real estate emerged as the ideal avenue to channel my ambition. It offered a powerful platform to create value, build meaningful connections, and shape thriving communities on a global scale. Building Cityroyce Group has been an incredible journey, but it hasn’t been without its challenges. One of the most significant obstacles has been navigating the complexities of operating in global markets. Expanding internationally required adapting to different legal systems, economic fluctuations, and cultural nuances, each demanding a steep learning curve and a commitment to continuous improvement. At times, this meant managing situations where regulations and expectations were vastly different from what we were accustomed to, forcing us to think creatively and remain flexible.

Unexpected events have also tested our resilience. The pandemic disrupted industries globally, shifting priorities and creating an environment of uncertainty. More recently, the LA wildfires posed logistical challenges, from operational delays to reassessing how we support our clients and partners during crises.
