Hi Julia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey with Energy Medicine & teaching Energy Work began from a place of my own healing and transformation. I was emerging from a decade of toxic work environments mixed with addiction, and I was ready for a shift. I accidentally found my way to an Energy Healer (and thought it was going to be bullshit!) but something in the first session shifted something for me and that curiosity took over my life, work, and entire way of being. I’ve been serving 1:1 clients and teaching energy work and spiritual alchemy for eight years now, and the possibilities have only continued to expand. When COVID hit, I was forced to move all of my work online and I was terrified and grieving at first… I was afraid it would never work and wouldn’t be the same. It has turned out to be the best thing that has ever happened for my life and work. I now get to support folks all over the country and world, and I run an online teaching ecosystem that gets to support people everywhere in awakening their energetic perception and intuitive capacities in service of their life and work. So much of my work now is focused beyond healing – it is about evolving. I want to see folks bringing the principles of energy work into boardrooms and classrooms and everywhere in between. I want us to start thinking beyond the realms of healing and into a space of imagining how we can create something brand new in the place of what no longer works. How can we work with this moment to transform in positive and influential ways?
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being able to meet and work with the very natural skepticism and disbelief that many folks carry around this work has been a challenge but also an incredible opportunity. I’m not interested in carrying this work in a way that forces any certain kind of beliefs. I think nurturing our skepticism with curiosity allows us to open into new possibilities without feeling coerced. When I first shifted my work online, there was a TON of disbelief, me included. It was enough of a stretch for folks to believe that energy could heal their bodies, minds, and hearts… but that it could happen without us even being in the same room was a gargantuan leap. What I’ve found though, is that in leaving space for folks to be doubtful, we’ve actually been able to explore this new terrain with curiosity, and the results have been overwhelmingly positive. All of my clients and students express feeling the energy more potently at a distance, and our sense of community and connection now gets to stretch across the globe. We are at such a potent crux in both our collective physical health and spiritual health, and creating space to work together towards a new baseline of health and wellness and a new sense of spiritual connection and meaning has felt like a challenging mission but one worthy of my full attention.
