Community Highlights: Meet Jamil Frazier of Think Life is Different

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamil Frazier

Hi Jamil, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Jamil Frazier. I’m an American Entrepreneur, Speaker and Investor.

I grew up on welfare and government assistance, both my parents struggled with addiction. My mom graduated high school at the age of 40, and my dad was constantly in and out of jail and I always HATED being broke.

I played college football on scholarship, graduated with honors, got a good job, married my sweetheart, had our first child Ezra and was still BROKE.

Age 32 is where EVERYTHING “SHIFTED” for me. My wife was going to leave me and take our son. I grew up without my father in the house so the thought of splitting up killed me. That year, I made a DECISION. I was not going to be struggling for money anymore. A unique opportunity was presented to me then I met a man shortly after and he got me hooked on financial literacy and investing.

At the age of 37, I became a millionaire. At 39, a multimillionaire, which led me to write two books: “The Richest Man in Direct Sales” and “The Twelve SHIFTS.” Both hit the best selling list on their first day.

My goal from the very beginning was to save my marriage, keep my son in my home, build generational wealth for my kids, change the Frazier last name and to help others.

Right away, I began working on my physical health. I discovered that I needed to learn more about Meta Cognition and choosing my responses in all areas of my life. This journey helped me not only build mental fortitude, start many businesses, be a successful investor but it also helped save my marriage. I started building my financial profile by investing in the stock market, then Real Estate, then Notes. Next, I became an Accredited Investor then got into Angel Investing and Private Equity.

I turned 43 this year and my wife and I are still together, we have 4 beautiful children and we want to help others achieve the mental, emotional and financial security we have built in the past 10 years.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. A few years after graduating college, I found myself in a deep depression. I just didn’t understand why I wasn’t reaching the level of success I wanted. I graduated top of my class, had a great job in the medical industry, married a beautiful woman and had a son on the way but still found myself broke financially, unfulfilled and broken mentally. I felt like I checked all the boxes society said to check but yet my life still wasn’t working out the way I wanted. This depression lasted for two years, I gained forty pounds, was stressed out and by age 31 my wife was ready to divorce me and take my son away as well.

I knew I didn’t want that life anymore and needed to make a decision to make changes.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a Keynote Speaker, Entrepreneur & Private Equity Investor, I specialize in helping people solve problems no matter what the problem is. I take a look at my clients personal lives as well as their businesses and finances. I guide them to bridge the gap from their current reality to their desired future by identifying a personal plan, helping them become self-aware, building mental fortitude and creating generational health and wealth that will take care of their family for years to come.

Having grown up on welfare and government assistance, with parents chained to addictions, I was tired of always being broke. In my 30s everything shifted when my marriage was in trouble, I was overweight, broke and at risk of losing my family and raising my son in my own home. I was tired of struggling financially, mentally and physically and knew I wanted to save my marriage, raise my son in my home, build generational wealth for my family, change the legacy of my last name and help other people do the same. So I made a decision to change and began working on my physical health. I discovered that I needed to learn more about Metacognition and choosing my responses in all areas of my life. This journey helped me not only build mental fortitude, start many businesses, and be a successful investor but it also helped save my marriage. I started building my financial profile by investing in the stock market, then Real Estate, then Notes. Next, I became an Accredited Investor then got into Angel Investing and Private Equity.

I now own multiple companies focused on investing, health coaching and education. I am the author of two Best Selling Author of two books. The first being “The Richest Man in Direct Sales” and the second, “The Twelve Shifts”.

I turned 43 this year and my wife and I are still together, we have 4 beautiful children and we want to help others achieve the mental, emotional and financial security we have built in the past 10 years.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?

Be careful what you tolerate. You are teaching people how to treat you. Find people you want to build a life of freedom with and travel the world with.
You learn nothing from life and business if you think you’re right all the time. Take full responsibility for your life, reactions and behaviors. Work on improving yourself daily.
Pay your debts. Take care of your health physically and mentally. Find financial coaches to help you build an investment portfolio that builds long term wealth and a legacy to leave your children. and prioritize time for yourself and time with your partner and children.
