My journey into event planning started with my love for creating special moments for people. I’ve always believed that events are more than just gatherings—they’re experiences that leave lasting memories.
My professional background began in catering, where I had the opportunity to serve as the Catering Director at DoubleTree. In that role, I handled everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale special events, ensuring that every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed. It was during this time that I truly fell in love with the process—not just the logistics, but the connections I built with my clients. I found so much joy in bringing their visions to life, guiding them through the process, and seeing their excitement when everything came together.
That passion led me to start my own business, C.C. Planning and Events. I wanted to create a company that not only delivered beautiful, well-executed events but also made every client feel supported and valued. That’s how my slogan, “Creating Moments That Matter,” came to be—it represents my belief that every event should be more than just an occasion; it should be a cherished memory.
Now, as the owner of my own planning and design company, I get to do what I love every day—curating unique, elevated, and heartfelt experiences for my clients. Whether it’s a wedding, a baby shower, or an intimate celebration, my goal is always to ensure that each event reflects the client’s vision while leaving a lasting impression.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but every challenge along the way has shaped me into the planner I am today. One of the biggest lessons I had to learn early on was how to be quick on my feet. No matter how much preparation goes into an event, unexpected situations always arise, and being able to think creatively and find solutions in the moment is essential.
When I first started my business, I didn’t have a guidebook or a mentor showing me the way—I had to figure things out on my own. That was tough in the beginning, but once I worked with my first client, everything started to click. I realized that my years of experience in catering and special events had already given me the skills I needed—I just had to trust myself. With each event, I became more confident in my ability to anticipate challenges, adapt quickly, and create seamless experiences for my clients.
Now, problem-solving is second nature to me. I’ve learned that every event is unique, and while there may be surprises along the way, my ability to stay calm, think creatively, and focus on the client’s vision allows me to turn any challenge into an opportunity for something even better.

I define success by the reactions of my clients. Their joy and excitement mean everything to me, and knowing that I’ve created a space that exceeds their expectations is my greatest achievement.
Beyond that, I also see success as creating events so beautiful and unique that they become inspiration for others. My goal is to design experiences that not only leave lasting memories but also make their way onto people’s mood boards and Pinterest pages. If someone sees my work and feels inspired to recreate that magic for their own special moment, then I know I’ve done something truly special.
