Lagom Celebrations started from a very personal place—motherhood. Becoming a mother helped me realize the magic in celebrating life’s little and big moments. Originally from Sweden, I have spent the past 17 years in Los Angeles, building a life grounded in creativity, connection, and now, celebrations.
The name Lagom comes from a Swedish word meaning “just right”—a philosophy that inspires everything I do. I believe the most memorable events strike a perfect balance: thoughtful, beautiful, and deeply personal.
What started as planning birthdays and baby showers for friends and family quickly blossomed into something more. Before launching Lagom Celebrations, I worked in hospitality for major hotel brands, where I specialized in crafting elevated, detail-driven guest experiences. That background taught me how to anticipate client needs and create moments that feel both seamless and special. Today, I bring that same mindset to every celebration—helping families take the stress out of planning by managing every element, from custom invitations and thoughtful décor to photography, entertainment, and day-of coordination. My goal is to make each event feel effortless, deeply personal, and beautifully memorable. Lagom Celebrations isn’t just about throwing a beautiful party—it’s about creating a moment that feels just right. A feeling. A memory. A celebration of connection, joy, and the people who matter most.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Building a business as a first-time mom and female entrepreneur has been equal parts thrilling and overwhelming—but that’s the magic of pouring yourself into something you truly believe in. Launching Lagom Celebrations meant stepping far outside my comfort zone—learning how to run a business, taking creative risks, and doing it all while raising a young child.
One of the greatest challenges has been finding the balance between being a present mother and a dedicated entrepreneur—ironically, the very balance that lagom represents. There were moments of self-doubt, times I wondered if I could truly turn my passion into something sustainable.
But every challenge has pushed me to grow—both personally and professionally. They’ve made me more resilient, more resourceful, and even more passionate about creating moments of joy for the families I work with. In many ways, they’ve also made me a better mother—more present, intentional, and appreciative of the small moments. The most gratifying part is seeing everything come together—watching loved ones laugh, connect, and celebrate. That’s what makes it all worth it.
