Today we’d like to introduce you to Berthel Tate.
Hi Berthel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It’s my goal to see the ease of computer use by all individuals from all age ranges. Working with both children and adult learners, the challenge of learning to code or simply use a computer seems to increase the level of fear and anxiety they had. My goal as a business owner is to reduce the anxiety around Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics.
Through the use of microelectronics, my goal is to reduce anxiety by eating those who wish to learn in learning to code through by spending less than $100 and putting a computer in as many hands as possible. Because so many people are intimidated by the use of computers and the suggestion of going into stem fields, my business was birthed as a means of creating hands-on activities to help those wishing to Entering S.T.E.A.M. careers to enter without a fear of being left behind.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business is a bumpy road I am Everywoman and so I wear many hats throughout the day and I’m constantly learning. However, I’m having fun so I don’t view the struggle as a struggle of you as an opportunity to learn and grow as a business owner. There are times when I wish I knew more and because I don’t know as much about running a business and I do about working in one my opportunities to do more grow and excel continue to present themselves. Zeroing in on one idea can be a struggle however it’s needed and that focus is what has helped me to continuously develop and grow my business. Ideas constantly come and I want to try them all and so it’s always a struggle to settle down and focus on one idea. However, mapping out my plan has been the most beneficial aspect that I’ve done thus far for my business.

What were you like growing up?
I am a true ambivert! President of numerous social clubs and always volunteering. I enjoy seeing people come together and enjoy each other and life. I truly believe laughter is the cure for all things both sad and happy times. The introverted side of me is quiet and reserved and falls deep for a good book and a quiet corner. I can spend hours/days engulfed in a good book and enjoying my own company! And yes, I’m a true foodie! I will travel for a gourmet meal… or some really good food!!
