Community Highlights: Meet Antonio Cevallos of Bold Shot Films

Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonio Cevallos.

Antonio Cevallos

Hi Antonio, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Before becoming an actor, I became an avid professional wrestling fan. I soon was hooked and inspired by the charisma and larger-than-life gimmicks (especially on the microphone), of the Nature Boy Ric Flair, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, and Shawn Michaels among others. I decided to take acting classes when I discovered I was so good at cutting wrestling promos in front of a camera, following precisely in the footsteps of my favorite superstars. My acting coach once said, referring to myself: “He’s my best student; he can do it all”. From then on, I jumped on that hot rod dream of one day working in Hollywood with Dwayne Johnson, and my acting career took off with an unparalleled drive of passion, dedication, and devotion.

Since 2009, I’ve performed on several theatre plays, represented endless established brands on TV commercials, starred in many international awarded films – short films, and I have also built my own cinematographic international awarded brand: Bold Shot Films. My highlights so far make me proud. One of the films I starred on was screened on the Cannes International Festival on 2015 and received awards, nominations, and official selection laurels on independent festivals such as Indie Fest Film Awards, Flixx Fest, HIMFF, LAIFFA, and International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema. On September 13, 2023, a film I produced, directed, and starred on, Devil’s Playground, was screened on The Hollywood Industry Mixer organized by film producer Bruce Nahim at the Los Angeles, California Gathering Spot. All of my films of 2023 have won international awards. That’s how I got where I am today: honoring my love, respect, and vision for this business, and being a consummate professional in every single film project I’ve been involved in and directed.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
More than saying struggles, I’d say that the main challenge in my film-acting career has been staying relevant for as many years. I have done it. I’ve done everything to keep up my momentum going, reinventing myself on as many fresh and groundbreaking projects which have made me become over the years, a versatile, dynamic, and multi-genre actor with no stage limitations and a vast experience of adaptability and marketable skills and assets.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My brand was created as a vehicle for me to showcase my acting expertise and follow my path in becoming Hollywood’s next Latino box office hit! I’m confident and I know I’ll be pretty soon acting on film productions of likes as MGM Studios, Netflix, and Paramount Pictures. Bold Shot Films describes my drive to succeed in my passion for acting and filmmaking. I’m bold and I’m taking a shot to impact the film industry with my own style. I specialize in drama, martial arts, comedy, and horror. I’m known for doing strong hard solid drama scenes and martial arts stage combat films. What sets me apart is my unbreakable drive in learning and acquiring knowledge applied to every single area: acting, producing, directing, make-up, film marketing, budget distribution, and branding.

Brand-wise I’m proud that on September 13, 2023, a film I produced, directed, and starred on, Devil’s Playground, was screened on The Hollywood Industry Mixer organized by film producer Bruce Nahim at the Los Angeles, California Gathering Spot. I’m proud that all of my films of 2023 have won international awards. My upcoming film to be released on December 2023 is called The Fortune Wheel, directed and produced by myself. This story will make the viewers reflect on how magical their lives can become if they dare to discover the unknown and jump onto the train of opportunities! You can find us on You Tube as Bold Shot Films.

What were you like growing up?
Since I was five years old my two favorite heroes were Christopher Reeve (Superman) and Val Kilmer (Batman). I emulated them acting and playing their characters in my fantasy world, disguising myself under their larger-than-life capes. I don’t have brothers, so when my friends weren’t around I literally performed like my superheroes at home. I have been both an extrovert and introvert in certain areas of my life so I know both worlds. My interests growing up have been martial arts, wearing superhero costumes, and professional wrestling. If it wasn’t for the influence of Jean Claude Van Damme, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ric Flair, and my childhood heroes I wouldn’t be writing this article for this prestigious magazine. Meeting Ric Flair in Tennessee was definitely one of my highlights.
