Community Highlights: Meet Amanda Robinson of Iris+West Lash Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Robinson.

Hi Amanda, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I launched Iris+West Lash Co. in 2015 in response to the myth that eyelash extensions damage your natural lashes. I wanted to provide clients with safe, thoughtful services that don’t sacrifice lash health for beauty, each custom–tailored to fit their personal aesthetic, and help them feel like the best version of themselves.

We’re approaching a decade in business now, and the journey has been filled with significant milestones- we navigated the challenges of the pandemic, I’ve expanded our dedicated team, and most exciting of all I’ve moved the business from a humble salon suite in Hollywood to a beautiful commercial space in the Silverlake/Echo Park area. This new studio has become a vibrant hub for innovation. It’s enabling us to reach more clients, deepen our community connections, and continue shaping Iris+West into a brand that truly resonates. I’m inspired everyday by the potential for the new ways our clients and team can connect, and experience I+W.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not always been smooth. Without formal training in business management or leadership, I’ve had to learn
a lot of crucial lessons on the go, trusting my instincts and vision even when faced with doubt. I’m lucky and grateful that aside from 2020, nothing catastrophic has happened, even though sometimes it’s felt like it. It’s inevitable to run into problems you’d never expect, but there’s almost always a way forward.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Iris+West Lash Co. ?
Iris+West Lash Co. is a lash and brow studio that focuses on modern and minimalist lash and brow services. I have a penchant for easy beauty regimes, and I use that to inform the artistry of our services. But, more than that, we’re a brand that sets the tone in beauty—not just through what we do, but how we make people feel. We see beauty as a shared language—passed from friend to friend, artist to client, person to person.

This year we launched our first products that I am SO SO proud of, (and honestly won’t shut up about)- The Care Kit( a thoughtfully curated set of essentials to make eyelash extension aftercare fun and easy), the I+W hair clip, and our Easy On The Eyes reusable eye masks.
