It’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started singing when I was very young. My main genre back then was Mariachi. And I enjoyed listening to music in English on my free time. When I turned 13, I turned to R&B music and fell in love. From there, I decided to venture into every part of music. Well, as much as I could pull off.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There has always been struggles. In the way, people perceived me based off of the way I dress. And many other things were used to hold me back. But I grew up and grew outwards. Now I have so much more freedom.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a singer at heart. And first. But I am also a songwriter, producer, engineer, and musician. I am most proud of being a woman. Simply put, I am a woman surviving the music industry.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I advise to look for in others what you see in yourself. Because the people around you say a lot about you as a person as well. At least thats what my mom always said!
