Check Out Thom Fajemisin’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Thom Fajemisin.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started Vision7 in my apartment, in unit 7. That’s actually where the name comes from. At the time, it was just me, my laptop, and a drive to build something of my own. I had been working in creative and digital roles for large corporations, building out web and marketing assets for big brands, but I wanted to create something more personal, something that would directly impact small and growing businesses in a way big agencies never could.

As the son of immigrants, entrepreneurship wasn’t just about independence. It was about building a foundation and creating opportunities that didn’t exist before. I began by designing websites for local businesses, sourcing leads myself, taking every client call, and handling every piece of fulfillment. I wore every hat: designer, strategist, developer, and client success manager. Each project taught me something new about business, creativity, and people.

Over time, Vision7 grew from a small web design service into a full-cycle digital marketing agency. Today, we help brands from start to finish, from discovery and strategy to brand identity, website design, content creation, and digital advertising. Our process begins with a deep audit of a client’s online presence. We look at what’s working, what’s missing, and where opportunities exist. From there, we create a tailored strategy, build or optimize their digital assets, and launch targeted campaigns across web, social, and email that drive measurable results.

What makes Vision7 unique is our focus on integration. We don’t just create campaigns; we build systems. Every client engagement ends with clear metrics, automation, and the tools to scale confidently.

Today, Vision7 continues to grow, serving a diverse client base of more than 20 businesses across different industries. What began as an idea in a small apartment has become a growing agency that helps other entrepreneurs turn their visions into reality. That is what keeps me motivated every day.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not. Like most entrepreneurs, the early stages came with a lot of uncertainty. When I started Vision7, I was doing everything myself, from prospecting and sales calls to design, development, and client support. There were times when I questioned if I was building something sustainable or just chasing a dream.

One of the biggest challenges was learning how to balance creativity with structure. It’s easy to focus on the design and marketing side, but I had to learn about contracts, pricing, scalability, and client management. There were projects that didn’t go as planned, clients who disappeared halfway through, and months when cash flow was tight.

What kept me going was the belief that consistency always compounds. Each mistake became a lesson in process improvement, communication, or resilience. Over time, I learned to build systems, delegate where needed, and focus on long-term relationships instead of short-term wins.

The road hasn’t been smooth, but I’m grateful for that. Every challenge shaped the way Vision7 operates today with more clarity, professionalism, and heart.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My professional journey has always centered around creativity, technology, and connection. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in environments that taught me how powerful design and data can be when they come together with purpose.

Before starting my own agency, I worked at Bonhams and Sotheby’s, where I helped build and photograph creative assets for major campaigns, including collaborations with BMW such as the BMW Art Generation “Towards Joy” event and the Kith x BMW collection launch. Those experiences showed me how world-class storytelling and precision branding could elevate an entire experience, not just a product.

Later, at Apple, I had the chance to work on product and growth systems that shaped how users interact with technology. It was there that I learned to approach design with both beauty and functionality in mind, always focusing on how every element impacts the user’s journey.

Today, through Vision7, I bring all of that experience together. My agency specializes in full-cycle digital marketing, offering services that include brand strategy, web design, content production, and performance marketing. We help businesses translate their vision into clear, measurable digital strategies that drive growth and connection.

What I’m most proud of is seeing how far our clients go once they have the right systems and creative direction in place. Many start small and end up reaching audiences they never thought possible.

What sets me apart is the range of perspective I bring. I’ve seen how creativity functions at the highest corporate levels and how it transforms smaller, growing businesses. That blend of artistry, strategy, and empathy is what continues to shape my career and the work I do every day.

What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, my goal is to continue growing Vision7 into a creative and data-driven agency that helps more businesses scale with confidence. We’re building new partnerships, expanding our automation and analytics capabilities, and focusing on helping clients move from idea to execution faster than ever.

I’m also excited about mentoring and collaborating with other creatives and entrepreneurs. Having started from a one-bedroom apartment, I understand how important guidance and opportunity can be.

On a personal level, I want to keep learning and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible at the intersection of design, technology, and strategy. The goal is simple: to keep creating meaningful work that helps people and businesses grow.
