Check Out Theresa Winters’ Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Theresa Winters.

Hi Theresa , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Divorce hits hard for a lot of people. I don’t want to say that the first phase of it wasn’t hard for me. It was. I just chose to take advantage of my solo journey; not knowing how long it would be a part of my life.

Being single for nine years now has changed me over and over again. Each year that has passed I know more about myself, who I am meant to be, what life is meant to look like, and more importantly, how to make this life one that I am proud of. I go, I do, I feel, I get uncomfortable, I laugh, I fail, I inspire, I want, I get.

Singling with meaning is something that has become natural to me. I don’t ask why. I don’t feel shameful. And I sure as hell don’t care what others think. My life is what I make if it and I know I am just getting started with an untouchable confidence and truly remarkable journey. I am intentional. I always ask, “what’s next” and I am not afraid of the unknown in regards to my future. You know why? Because I believe in myself!

Today I own a thriving travel agency with locations in three states and am in the beginning stages of my passion project, Singling With Meaning. Join me. Watch from afar or reach out and lets do some cool shit together 😉

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The good stuff in life is very rarely at the end of a smooth road. If you welcome the bumps and the setbacks, are willing to take the detours and address them head on, you are already ahead of most people. Remember me mentioning that I believe in myself? That has always gotten me through. I know I can overcome anything. I have over and over again.

As a single mother and multi business owner, there are always challenges thrown my way. Moody teenagers, a stranded client, appliances breaking down at home, lack of motivation, and of course the uncertainty of our economy at any given moment. (Covid, for example). My industry is very dependent on how well the economy is doing. When things are good out there, things are good here 🙂

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a serial entrepreneur! I own a very successful, five star travel agency in three states (Faraway Places Travel) and am founder of Singling With Meaning; which is what I would love to share with you here.

Singling With Meaning is something that I have lived for nine years now. I am intentional with the way I love my life and the way I want it to look on my solo journey. My company reflects who I am and what I want to put out into the Universe. I coach singles wanting the most out of their life. This journey is not a one size fits all, so my programs are very custom to each person. I am refreshingly real and not your predictable “coach” so expect transformation you never saw coming and unpredictable adventure!

In addition to my singles coaching, I offer singles retreats and singles all inclusive trips; a little bit for everyone. 😉

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Risk taking is a must and welcomed!

I have taken risk for most of my life. From moving to another state with no place to live and no job, to climbing Mt Kilimanjaro with zero training, to buying a travel agency with zero knowledge in the industry… yes, to taking risk; I am all about it!

This is exactly why singles need me. I will push them beyond anything they ever saw possible in their lives. I am here for it!
