Check Out Taylor Green’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Green

Hi Taylor, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Taylor Baked has been deeply influenced by my commitment to an organic lifestyle and my passion for creating unique experiences at exclusive events. Baking cakes for friends and family has forever been my love language. When I began experimenting with a variety of flavors and collecting leftover blooms from local florists, I knew I was onto something. Taylor Baked offers a diverse range of recipes, including vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined-sugar-free options all adorned with fresh flowers, dried citrus, and herbs.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being busy has always felt more exciting than stressful. Running a one-woman show comes with its limitations due to my team consisting of two KitchenAid mixers and my two hands, while being a full-time student. Taylor Baked is certainly a labor of love, and I am so fortunate to have met an amazing community of like-minded cake lovers.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Taylor Baked repurposes fresh flowers, specializes in health-conscious ingredients, and bakes with seasonal flavors. By partnering with local florists and organic markets, I aim to facilitate an inclusive community for everyone to enjoy.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
My business is just shy of its first anniversary, so I wasn’t selling cakes during the COVID-19 crisis. Instead, I spent my mornings baking muffins for a local coffee shop, experimenting with unique flavor profiles. The pandemic taught me that the little things in life truly matter. Whether it’s a first or last birthday, a wedding, or a weekly book club meeting over muffins, these moments are precious. For centuries, desserts have symbolized celebrations, milestones, and unity. After COVID-19 distanced meaningful relationships, I find it even more precious to serve significant confections.
