Check Out Sharon Vidano’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Vidano.

Hi Sharon, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In high school, I really found what lit me up. I loved the visual and performing arts. However, growing up in a very strict Asian family, I was not allowed to choose Art as a major in college. I was given the choices of being a nurse or an accountant. I ended up studying business in college and decided to go to law school because the only course I really enjoyed in college was the pre-law class. Eventually I became a highly successful criminal defense attorney. I was fortunate to be in and out of the field by staying home with my children when they were infants through toddlerhood. Each time I went back, partially because the babies were a bit older, but because of the circumstances of my rocky marriage. I knew I could always fall back on being an attorney. I was good at it. I was really good at it and I loved helping my client feeling like I made a difference. At one, point, I realized I wanted to make a larger impact in clients lives so they did not keep coming back to court. The results seems to be short lived. I decided I wanted to help people so they can make different choices and impact their lives for the long run. After my own journey healing through divorce with the help of a coach, I decided to become a transformational coach myself.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has been a rocky one. There are days that are so thrilling and there are days where I think “What the heck am I doing?’ One of the struggles was making the decision to retire and pursue a full time coaching career. After many years of education and court experience, it is expected to continue until one reaches full retirement age. However, after much reflection of the impact I truly wanted to make in this world, I decided I wanted to reach people early so they can shift their mindset and make decisions to avoid the courtroom. That was a scary decision to make, but I made it. I stood on the knowing that so long as I am following what lights up my soul, I am led by Spirit, and everything would be wonderful. Some other struggles followed, that of the growing pains of a business. Again, being led by Spirit and standing in the knowing that I am led by Spirit. I know I am fine and am succeeding in my dreams.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The most important quality or characteristic to my success is that fact that I have a servant heart. I am always looking to help or give value no matter where I go. People remember how they feel when they meet or interact with me. My intent everyday is to give one minute transformations to everyone I meet through out the the day. That can be as little as a smile or a warm greeting.
