Today we’d like to introduce you to Samatha Lopes.
Hi Samatha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Sãmatha Lopes. I am Brazilian, 39 years old, and my story did not begin with travel or spirituality — it began with the body awareness with movement, and with a deep inner search that unfolded slowly, honestly, and sometimes painfully.
I was born and raised in Brazil, In Sao Paulo ,where I had a joyful childhoods but intense adolescence. Like many young people, I was surrounded by much love form parents, familly and friends in my tennegers times i had many parties, excess, and a fast-paced lifestyle. However i always combined with a lot work and study too, my friends that was in this lifestyle could not believe how I managed parties and be focus in my Degree where I complete Exercices Physiology , I drank a lot, lived intensely, and for a long time believed that freedom meant escape., and also have fun because in Brazil we celebrate everthing . Somewhere inside me, there was always a quiet question asking for something deeper.
That question found its first answer when I entered university to study and During college, I was introduced to Yoga — and that moment changed my life forever. In my very first yoga class, I cried. I felt a warmth in my chest, something opening in my heart. I didn’t understand it intellectually, but my body understood before my mind did.
Yoga slowly transformed my life. I became vegetarian, ended a toxic relationship, and felt naturally guided toward a more spiritual way of living. My curiosity about consciousness and healing deepened. During this period, I participated in Umbanda and later became part of an Ayahuasca community for two years, where I played percussion during ceremonies. These experiences grounded me in humility, respect for nature, and the understanding that healing is not linear it is lived.
Professionally, I built a solid career in Brazil. I graduated in Physical Education, Yoga, and Pilates, worked in studios, and later created a project offering Yoga, Pilates, and body therapies in residential condominiums, making wellness accessible to everyday life. The body was always my language movement, touch, presence.
After becoming a certified yoga teacher, I felt a strong inner calling to go deeper. That calling took me to India. I traveled there to study and stayed for three months. At that time, I barely spoke English, but fear was no longer stronger than purpose. In India, I studied Ayurvedic Yoga Massage and deepened my spiritual practice. That journey didn’t make me “enlightened” it made me more honest, grounded, and devoted to service.
Life continued to move me across the world. I traveled through China, Vietnam, and Laos, lived in Croatia for three months teaching classes and working with massage, and later moved to London, where I began my first formal English studies while continuing to work with body therapy. Each country shaped me, challenged me, and expanded my understanding of humanity.
Eventually, I returned to São Paulo feeling clear: I needed to change my life again. Shortly after, I received an invitation to teach Pilates in California. Without overthinking, I sold my belongings, ended a relationship, and moved to the United States guided by intuition rather than certainty.
I began teaching in my second week in California, feeling deeply insecure about my English. Over time, dedication transformed fear into confidence. By my second year in the U.S., I had become one of the top instructors at the studio. Soon after, I was invited to work in a clinic, where I spent three years practicing cupping therapy and massage, supporting myself independently and living alone near the beach in San Diego a time of deep independence and fulfillment.
Still, I felt called to go further. I studied Quantum Health Coaching, graduated, and later began a PhD in Natural Medicine, for which I was accepted due to my academic and professional background.
Due to my pregnancy and the transition into motherhood, I chose to pause the PhD, with the intention of returning to complete it when my daughter begins school now she is two l. I see this pause not as an ending, but as a conscious redirection aligned with life’s natural cycles.
My journey to motherhood was so easy In 2023, four months into a new relationship, I discovered I was pregnant. Shortly after, I lost my job. at the clinic .The emotional impact was immense. I went through three months of depression, questioning everything. Meditation especially Ho’oponopono — and faith became my anchors.
By grace, my partner became my husband. His support was fundamental in my healing. Today, I am a mother to a beautiful two-year-old daughter, Sara, and motherhood has become my greatest initiation. Loving her is an indescribable experience.
I currently run an online mentorship called Lotus Quantum Self-Healing, where I guide women back to their sacred essence through spirituality, self-knowledge, and embodiment. I also have my own healing space, where I work with cupping therapy, massage, Reiki, auriculotherapy, and sound healing.
Life has a poetic sense of humor. I am married to a Croatian man — and years before, I had lived in Croatia and been in a relationship there. Perhaps karma, perhaps other lifetimes. I remain open to mystery.
Today, my goals are simple and profound: to stay healthy, to raise my daughter with presence and love, and to expand my work online. Travel and location-independent work give me freedom — and freedom has always been part of my soul’s language.
I am deeply grateful for my journey so far. I know there is still much more to create, heal, and share.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road and I don’t believe it was meant to be.
There were many moments of uncertainty, especially when I moved to different countries without speaking the language fluently, started over professionally, or followed intuition instead of logic. I struggled with insecurity, cultural adaptation, financial instability, and the fear of not being “enough,” particularly in the early years of my life abroad.
One of the most challenging periods came in 2023, when I became pregnant and shortly after lost my job. That moment forced me to slow down and face deep emotional layers I had been avoiding. I experienced a period of depression and confusion, questioning my identity, my purpose, and my future.
Motherhood itself was another profound challenge not because it took something away from me, but because it asked me to transform completely. Learning to surrender control, honor my body’s rhythm, and redefine success required humility and deep inner work.
Yet, every struggle became a teacher. Each obstacle refined my resilience, strengthened my faith, and brought me closer to my truth. What once felt like loss later revealed itself as redirection. Looking back, the difficult moments were not detours they were initiations that shaped who I am today.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work lives at the intersection of body, energy, and consciousness. I am the founder of Lotus Quantum Self-Healing, and Lotus Therapy Center ,an integrative wellness brand and mentorship space created to support women in reconnecting with their sacred essence through embodiment, awareness, and self-leadership.
What we do goes far beyond traditional wellness. Through online mentorships, educational programs, and in-person therapeutic sessions, I guide women to understand the body not only as a physical structure, but as an intelligent energetic system. My work integrates movement, therapeutic touch, nervous-system regulation, spirituality, and quantum principles always grounded in science, anatomy, and lived experience.
I am known for a deeply embodied approach to healing. My background in Physical Education, Yoga, Pilates, Anatomy, Biomechanics, and multiple therapeutic modalities allows me to meet women where they are physically, emotionally, and energetically. Whether through cupping therapy, massage, Reiki, sound healing, or online teachings, the focus is always on restoring inner coherence, self-trust, and vitality.
What sets my work apart is its authenticity. I don’t teach theory alone I teach what I have lived. My brand was born from real transitions: migration, reinvention, motherhood, grief, resilience, and faith. This lived wisdom creates a space where women feel seen, safe, and empowered to return to themselves without pressure to “fix” or perform.
Brand-wise, what I am most proud of is the community. Lotus Quantum Self-Healing is not built on perfection, but on presence. Women come not to become someone else, but to remember who they already are. I am especially proud of creating a brand that honors the feminine cycle, respects the body’s intelligence, and integrates spirituality in a grounded, accessible way.
I want your readers to know that my work is an invitation not a promise of quick transformation, but a pathway back to self-connection. Healing is not about becoming more; it is about coming home. And when women feel at home in their bodies and their lives, everything begins to realign naturally.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
If there is one thing I would like to share, it is this: you don’t need to have everything figured out to be on the right path.
So much of my life unfolded through uncertainty, pauses, and moments that felt like endings. What I learned is that growth doesn’t always look like forward motion sometimes it looks like rest, surrender, or choosing a different rhythm than the world expects.
I want readers to know that healing is not about perfection or constant productivity. It is about listening. Listening to the body, honoring your cycles, trusting intuition, and allowing life to reshape you in ways that feel truer over time.
Motherhood, spirituality, and entrepreneurship taught me that softness is not weakness it is intelligence. When we slow down enough to feel, we reconnect with our inner guidance and remember that we are already whole.
Wherever you are in your journey, trust that nothing is wasted. Every experience carries wisdom. And when you choose to meet yourself with compassion, life has a beautiful way of meeting you halfway

I would also like to share that part of my work today includes creating accessible tools for healing and connection. I offer an online course where I teach women how to practice self lymphatic drainage, empowering them to care for their bodies at home, reconnect with their intuition, and support their overall well-being in a simple and conscious way.
In addition, I created a children’s coloring book titled Jesus Loves Me. The book includes gentle Bible verses and messages that help children feel more connected to nature, love, kindness, and spiritual values. It was created with the intention of nurturing emotional awareness and a sense of divine love from an early age.
The photos shared reflect different layers of my life and work moments of my healing practice, my journey as a wellness professional, and a photo with my husband, representing the personal foundation that supports everything I create.
