Check Out Milan Tiff’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Milan Tiff.

Hi Milan, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started my life as an Artist (painter) at a very young age. Having been born with the Polio-Cell Virus. Paralyzed until the age of 10. I drew and illustrated pictures of animals in motion. Eventually, I recovered and would become an International and Olympic Track and Field World Record athlete. Traveling the World extensively, seeing the wonders of the World, and meeting Kings and Queens, Presidents, heads of state, and religious figures alike (Popes and the Dali Lama). This experience led me to a career as a visual Artist (conceptual), often painting about Religion, Science, and Politics. My paintings are in a who’s who collection around the World.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The struggles have always been being able to exhibit publicly. For example, In the early 70’s, when I first started, the Galleries and Museums were either run by a man or women. Today, they are run by women who want to men or men who want to women. Making it difficult for a person with my background and resume to shake hands.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a conceptual artist, that try and create what the eye can’t see and make it visible. For example, anyone can draw or paint what they see. But to take that skill and apply it to what my eye can’t see and make it visible is the Art.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I’ve painted and exhibited in both Los Angeles and New York City. New York supplied the energy, but Los Angeles had all the inspiration. Example: The sun rises in the East and sets in the West. The Day turns into Night. The Moon follows the Sun.
