Check Out Raymi Smith’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raymi Smith.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started on a what would be considered a “traditional” path with schooling and then headed right into working. Corporate America showed me a lot, specifically what was for me and what was not. I learned transferable skills that I’m forever grateful for but most importantly, it lead me to the truth of my being, that I’m a creator and artist.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Wow, there have been so many twists and turns that I’ve learned from on this journey already. The hardest part is staying focused and learning to trust the calling as well as timing of my life even when things don’t go as planned.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a licensed cosmetologist who specializes in hair and nail care. I also dance, write, rap, sing, and paint. I’m known for some of the hottest ponytails as well as for making music 🎵

I’m most proud of my attitude and perspective. It’s come a long way and still continues to serve me. This is also what sets me apart from others as it truly makes me unique. It shows in the music and art I create. As we all are unique in our own ways. My experiences in life have helped shape me into the woman I am today. I also had extremely talented examples and role models in my life at a very young age.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Wow, there are literally so many to name that I wouldn’t begin trying to name them at this moment. But they know who they are and if you’re reading this, I love you and thank you for all your love and support.
