Check Out Rauly’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rauly

Hi Rauly, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Music has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started singing karaoke with my family as soon as I could talk, got into musical theater at five, joined the school choir in junior high, and played in an alternative rock band during high school. Despite my deep love for music, I earned a scholarship to study finance in college, and for the first time, music took a backseat. During that time, I realized I was the most unhappy I had ever been. After earning my master’s degree in finance, I knew I had to follow my passion and pursue music full-time. Shortly after that, I connected with platinum producer Charlie Heat after sending him my music, and he introduced me to Busco, who has produced all of my songs since. This year, I’ve had the privilege of performing my first set of sold-out shows, singing the national anthem at two MLB games, and getting ready to release my third EP. It’s been a long journey with some detours, but I wouldn’t change any part of it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, mostly because I didn’t pursue music fully from the start. My biggest struggle has been staying focused on my art without getting too distracted by everything else going on in life. But once I committed to this path, things started falling into place as I worked hard and created my own opportunities. It’s a constant challenge, but staying focused on what matters most has been key to my progress.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I write and produce original music and then perform it wherever I can! I love to write catchy and relatable songs that people can sing along to. My latest single, “Your Love”, an 80s-inspired retro-pop track, is set to release on October 25. I’m most proud of my music and the songs I’ve created that have resonated with other people around the world. I believe the biggest things that set me apart from others are my authenticity in my lyrics, my unique voice, and my ability to perform my songs live.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My advice is to connect with people you admire who are already doing what you aspire to do. They make the best mentors because they’ve succeeded on the path you want to take. They can give you guidance and help you navigate your journey because they’ve been on a similar one.
