Today we’d like to introduce you to Pxncho.
Hi Pxncho, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started producing for artists in 2019. One of my first placements was with Nemy, we recorded a song called Mr. T in San Diego and that was able to get my name out there. I produced for more artists in San Diego like Rossi Rock, Sebby OG and John Givez and a lot of other artists coming up in the city. Eventually, I moved to LA and I’ve been DJing and producing in both cities since. Currently, I have a residency at Los Globos every Friday in Hollywood. We throw reggaeton/hip-hop parties and the energy gets wild.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The biggest struggle has been staying focused and not getting derailed by doubt or criticism. There’s been times where I was barely getting by, but trusting the art can sometimes be very rewarding. We all have the ability to succeed no matter what field we are in. I think it’s the people that stop that face failure. It’s been a wild ride and lots of ups and downs but at least there’s been a lot of exciting surprises.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Currently, I’m a DJ and a music producer. I am one of the main engineers at Good Vibez Studios in Burbank which is owned by Mani Strings. I offer mixing, mastering, engineering and production work. As I mentioned before, I DJ every Friday at Los Globos for an event called Fiel Fridays and another event called Savage Saturdays. Every first Thursday, I DJ in San Diego by the Gaslamp Quarter at Vybz Night Club. I’ve DJ’d for artists like Vel Nine, Compton AV, Bone Thugs and Harmony and Jayo Felony. My favorite parties to play are Reggaeton events and I’m looking to keep evolving through that genre.
