Check Out Nicky Allado’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicky Allado.

Nicky, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up singing. My father was a drummer, and my mother has a voice like a songbird. My first singing lesson or training came from my parents, at 6 years young. There was always music from different roots and backgrounds in our home, so naturally growing up, I explored and dived into different musical genres. I later on graduated from The Colburn School with a concentration in Classical Voice. My passion for music does not stop in singing, it branches towards songwriting and producing music.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Since opening the studio, I’ve always focused on the core value of community and making a joyful noise. My students and clients have made it such a smooth road to walk on at My Father’s Studio.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a full-time voice coach who specializes in beginner to advance voices. My students come from all over the globe, and all in different backgrounds. You can find my students in Disney, Nickelodeon, Grey’s Anatomy, the Young, and the Restless, to name a few productions.

I am also I songwriter and have produced in various genres including blues, pop, electronica, and Christmas songs for movies.

Music is not a one size fits all and that Is what I instill at the studio. I am so proud of what I’ve achieved at the studio.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Music requires consistency and passion. The music business requires hard work. Those qualities contribute a lot to my success.
