Check Out Motown Maurice’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Motown Maurice

Hi Motown, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Fourteen trines ago, a fearless crusader embarked on an impossible journey riddled with mystical interferences. The Darkening tried to void his essence, but his spirit was too strong. The Nothing attempted to manipulate his mind with ominous trickery, but our hero was too wise. The Vortex wanted to erase his accomplishments and send him home, yet he endured. Although resolute in his determination, The Disappointment took its toll. His greatness remains unrecognized, curbing the fulfillment of his destiny. Despite these impediments, Motown Maurice perseveres, continuing to traverse the path to his throne in late-night television.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The greatest obstacle I have had to face is the unknown. In the early stages of my quest, I would seek guidance from others on how to secure my destiny. No one had an answer, and it soon became apparent that there were no maps or blueprints for my journey. As a result, the unknown has become something I choose to embrace and defeat.

The unknown is disguised as fear and concealed as change. It must be conquered by understanding and acceptance. One’s anxiety and uncertainty must be pinpointed and then ripped apart. The next step is equipping yourself with the necessary tools and fortitude to face the unknown. Tools include embracing extreme focus, self-confidence, mindfulness, growth, and opportunity.

Self-awareness allows you to differentiate between imagined fears and genuine concerns. Managing tangible fears is possible with a clearer perspective and a targeted approach. The simplest way to explain defeating the unknown is to become comfortable with not knowing.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a storyteller, a defender of history, and the guardian of my quest. I am the author, artist, and messenger of my future.

Most of my work is based on my delusional obsession with late-night television, which ignited over a decade and a half ago. To this day, my relentless pursuit remains unrealistic and improbable, but the allure is irresistible.

Burdened with this unique condition, I’ve become a specialized practitioner of semi-autobiographical storytelling. My late-night crusade thrives through a comedy TV series, two docuseries, and an upcoming documentary to be released in 2025. There’s also a screenplay, waiting patiently for that lucky lottery ticket to arrive.

While disappointment has plagued my journey, it has also been an evolutionary force that has helped forge this fantastical empire of stories influenced by the late-night landscape, which I am very proud of. What sets me apart from others are my delusions, absurd audacity, and whimsical certainty that I will one day proclaim the late-night throne.

How do you define success?
Success does not require validation. Success does not need an award. Success isn’t a monetary value. Success doesn’t need praise or third-party acknowledgment. Success isn’t determined by society or culture. Most importantly, success should not be a measure of comparison.

Success is a mindset. It is defined by oneself. Everyone’s path is different, and results will vary.

Another term that’s often misused is failure. Too often, disappointment and rejection are associated with failure. But in truth, no one fails while in pursuit. Trials and tribulations don’t equate to failure. Failure occurs when one gives up.

I’m prosperous because my soul is aligned with my purpose, forming an unbreakable bond. My success is defined by my ability to confront the unknown while constantly working toward fulfilling my heart’s desires. Success is more significant than self. My success creates opportunities for others and positively impacts the world.
