Hi Matylda & Maciek, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We’ve always been passionate travelers, constantly on the move and exploring new places. This passion led us to a desire to share our experiences and stories with others, leveraging our backgrounds in photography and English philology to create something meaningful. Our journey began with a trip that we meticulously planned ourselves, taking care of every detail.
We’ve always enjoyed listening to the stories of others, learning about daily life, the conditions in different countries, and how these factors affect the local populations. Our fascination with photojournalism and written reportage has deeply influenced our approach to travel and how we document our adventures. This combination of travel, storytelling, and a genuine curiosity about the world has shaped our journey to where we are today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It certainly hasn’t been a smooth road. Balancing higher education with our travels and running a publishing business was a significant challenge, leading to numerous organizational hurdles. While we managed to make it work, it wasn’t without its difficulties.
One of the toughest challenges was setting clear project goals and systematizing our operations. The desire to share knowledge and experiences is important, but there’s a lot more that happens behind the scenes. It took time and effort to figure out how to turn our passion into a sustainable and organized endeavor.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We run a publishing website where we share our own photographs and articles. Maciek specializes in reportage photography, with experience collaborating with local authorities and art galleries. Matylda, on the other hand, focuses on the written word, using her linguistic skills to craft articles from planning to publication, while connecting with people from various backgrounds and countries.
We’re known for our unconventional approach to travel, something that’s becoming increasingly rare these days. We take pride in truly immersing ourselves in the cultures we visit, rather than simply ticking countries off a list.
Among our proudest achievements, Maciek’s mission trip to Cameroon stands out, while Matylda is especially proud of climbing Machu Picchu on her own, despite health challenges. What sets us apart is our mature approach to travel—not just as a journey, but as an experience that continues to resonate long after the trip is over.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The most important quality for our success is organization—plain and simple. Organizing every detail, from planning our trips to carefully preparing the content we want to publish in advance, allows us to work diligently and dedicate the necessary time to each project. This structured approach, combined with our specialized education and continuous efforts to expand our skills, is crucial to producing high-quality work and maintaining our professional standards.
