Hi Marcela, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I relocated to Los Angeles from Las Vegas in 2008, navigating various odd jobs while raising my daughter as a single parent. I earned my SAG card and participated in multiple productions, but I realized that acting wasn’t my true passion. I sought more fulfillment in life. Social media came naturally to me, and I successfully built my platforms. In 2019, I began traveling back and forth to New York City, embracing a bicoastal lifestyle. I started two different podcast in 2021 and now have produced over 200 episode between them both. Sunday Funday with Marcela Alonso features various stand up comedians and then I have Get Schooled with Marcela Alonso which has been very successful. In 2023 I open my production company Latina Production. But my big success is I just finished producing my first short On the Air with Ariel which I wrote and excuctive produce

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Early on I dealt with being a single parent and challenging ways of supporting my child alone. Having hard times finding child care while trying to pay rent all while being a creative and a women.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Would love to be busy with my production company and produce more movies
