Today we’d like to introduce you to Greyson Messier.
Hi Greyson, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Yeah! I started surfing at a very young age and fell in love with the “free surfing” side of it. Traveling, filming, and making surf films with friends. Traveling to other parts of the world I fell in love with art and music. I had always played music as a young child but I have been really into it recently. My life today in the present is so beautiful. I am currently traveling in Europe with James Sarandis 🙂 filming for a project. My life today consists of surfing and creating things like art, music and more. I also am doing school at the community college online. I am 18 years old.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course there has been struggles. Struggles are just a part of life and without them the joys of life wouldn’t be so amazing. I appreciate and love the hardships I’ve been though because they have thought me so much about myself.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am technically a professional surfer but my job is to create. Come up with ideas and pitch them to different brands. I am most proud of the music I am making at the moment. Hopefully will get to release it soon! What sets me apart from other i think is that I don’t confine to a certain medium of art or life. I very much try and do it all. And I feel as though I have a very open mind.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with me in so many different ways. Weather it’s through surfing, making surf films, making art or music. People support me by simply just love and gratitude. I feel so loved and supported by friends and people I don’t know and that is what this life is al about.
