Hi Gabriel, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I first became interested in photo booths back in 2013 after seeing a YouTube video from the Adorama Learning Center. Back then, few photographers were aware of photo booths, and you had to build and create everything yourself. The barrier to entry into the photography field was much higher back then because the technology was much less advanced. Learning photography takes constant practice and it’s no different with learning how to build and use photo booths.
As photo booths gained popularity over time, more photographers decided to jump on board.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the photo booth industry, leading to many cancellations and lots of lost revenue. Sadly, many popular photo booth companies pivoted to other industries and never came back to photo booths. It was really challenging to have your business closed for more than a year but I was adamant about getting through the pandemic. I had to be creative and think of new methods to provide photo booth services because of COVID.
I began to focus less on tangible prints and props and more on digital and video services.

What’s next?
Photo booths are evolving from being a simple means of providing physical prints at events to becoming an immersive, multi-media experience that will engage guests both in person and on social media. Moving forward, we will be emphasizing more videos and digital-only packaging to keep up with the demand for social media and digital content. We are currently working on several photo and video experiences that have AI integration such as virtual backdrops instead of Green Screen, an AI Photo Lounge, and Video AI segmentation.
