Check Out Dana Rubin’s Story

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Dana Rubin.

Dana Rubin

Dana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
For as long as I can remember, I have had a camera in my hand. My dad’s father died when my dad was 18, and they found they had very few photos of him.

Due to this, we always made sure to capture memories as often a possible. I had my first camera, which was a disc camera when I was in grade school. I brought it to school and camp with me. Now, I have memories to look back on from when I was a young girl.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running your own business inherently has bumps in the road, but that is how we learn and grow. I had to learn who my ideal customers were, how to market to them, and how to maintain a work/life balance.

Thanks. What else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a boutique portrait photographer. I specialize in family portraits in an outdoor setting where the families are comfortable in their surroundings and can be themselves. I guide you through the entire process, from choosing your clothing to designing artwork for your home.

I pride myself on connecting with my clients and making sure they feel taken care of throughout the whole experience. Together, we create beautiful memories that they will hang on the walls of their homes for many years to come. I also love to help entrepreneurs and authors create branding photos that represent their image. Every Spring, I capture baseball action photos at my local park.

It is a great way to be a part of my community. The parents and players love to see the action shots I capture during their games. Creating memories with graduates is one of my favorite genres to work with. They have the whole world ahead of them, and it is exciting to hear about their plans.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe luck has played a role in my life and business. I am an honest, good person who works hard, and any business that comes my way is because of that.
