Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The Seed of Intention: Football Dreams
My journey began in the 3rd grade when I declared my intention to play professional football to my dad. I recall a moment of transformation when I first put on the uniform, feeling invincible, like Superman. This initial feeling was perhaps short-lived, but it led to a powerful moment of manifestation where I told myself I could do it, and ultimately, my dream came true.
I see a clear parallel here for women: the first time they put on makeup and feel transformed, perhaps beautiful in a way they didn’t think possible. It is unusual and interesting that helmets, pads, and makeup are very similar in that regard – they all offer a sense of empowerment and transformation.

The Subconscious Drive: Your Mother’s Legacy
A significant subconscious drive forme was my Mom. After my parents divorced when I was in the 4th grade, I witnessed my Moms incredible resilience and ambition. Working two jobs, raising two kids in a small apartment, she set her powerful intention: she wanted more. She went on to get her real estate license, founded her own company, and achieved something unprecedented for a woman at the time – she became a commercial real estate developer. Within 10 years, she retired, never having to work again.

Connecting to Chella’s Mission
This powerful background shapes the underlying message for our Chella customers. I aim to provide them with natural to naturally enhanced looks that empower them to be the greatest version of themselves and reach for their dreams. Ultimately, the goal is for them to realize that, “with or without the makeup, you have always been this beautiful, powerful person capable of anything.”

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Navigating the Storms: Resilience in Business
Owning a business is inherently challenging, and we’ve certainly faced our share of formidable obstacles. In 2015, we were hit hard by a theft that stripped us of all our finished goods and inventory. Just as we were recovering from that devastating setback, five years later, COVID-19 struck. This led to an 85% loss in our B2B business as spas nationwide shuttered their doors for 12 to 18 months.

Despite these immense challenges, we’ve emerged stronger than ever. We’re committed to working every day to connect with and support our valued retail customers and professional partners.

Embracing a Growth Mindset: A Transformative Journey
One of the most rewarding challenges over the past 12 years has been adopting a Growth Mindset. This shift has profoundly impacted how I approach both my professional and personal life.

I’ve embarked on a journey of self-discovery, learning practices like Yoga, Meditation, and Breathwork, and consciously working to let go of my Ego. This deep personal work has had a profound effect on how I view each day. I now find myself more grateful for moments as they unfold in real time and more adept at releasing energy and things that no longer serve me. This commitment to growth has truly created a wonderful opportunity for continued personal reflection and evolution.

What matters most to you? Why?
What Matters Most: Authentic Self, Authentic Connections
What matters most to me is, first and foremost, becoming deeply in touch with my authentic self. Until we can truly forgive our past and love ourselves in the present moment, it’s incredibly difficult to show up constructively for our family, friends, and business associates.

This belief extends directly into my professional life. As a small, family-run business, I view our employees and partners not just as colleagues, but as family. I feel a deep connection and love for them, which stems from that core principle of self-acceptance and genuine presence.
