Today we’d like to introduce you to Chad Jones
Hi Chad, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into real estate and architectural photography began with a deep love for capturing spaces that tell a story. I started out as a hobbyist, photographing anything that caught my eye—from landscapes to cityscapes. But it wasn’t until I was asked by a friend to photograph their home that I discovered my passion for real estate photography. There was something incredibly rewarding about being able to highlight the unique features of a space and seeing how those images could evoke emotion and interest from potential buyers.Seeing how those photos helped my friend sell their home quickly, I realized I could turn this passion into a business. So, I started Chad Jones Photography, focusing on real estate and architectural photography. It wasn’t an easy start—like many entrepreneurs, I had to wear many hats and build my business from the ground up. I spent countless hours learning not just the technical aspects of photography but also the nuances of what makes a home or building stand out in photos.Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing over 10,000 homes across Southern California. Each project taught me something new, whether it was about lighting, composition, or how to capture the essence of a property in a way that resonates with buyers. My business grew from just me and my camera to a full team that includes video directors, drone pilots, stylists, graphic designers, and web developers. We’re all dedicated to one thing: delivering top-notch visual content that helps our clients sell their properties faster and at higher values. The journey hasn’t always been smooth, but the challenges have been worth it. I’m proud to say that Chad Jones Photography has become a trusted name in the industry, known for our creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to exceptional customer service. It’s been an incredible ride so far, and I’m excited to see where the road takes us next!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Operating my photography business as a one-person show has certainly presented its share of challenges. Being solely responsible for every aspect—from client acquisition and scheduling to shooting and post-production—can be demanding. There have been times when juggling all these responsibilities felt overwhelming, especially when I was starting out and had to learn how to efficiently manage my time and resources.Early on, I faced the challenge of establishing a consistent client base and proving my value in a competitive market. There were moments of self-doubt, wondering if I could keep up with the growing demands of my business without a team to fall back on. Additionally, keeping up with the fast-paced advancements in photography technology required a continuous investment of time and resources, which sometimes meant long hours and sacrifices in other areas of my life. However, these challenges have also been opportunities for growth. They’ve pushed me to become more resilient, adaptable, and resourceful. Each struggle has reinforced my commitment to providing exceptional photography services and has ultimately shaped me into the professional I am today.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories revolves around playing baseball, which I did for 14 years. I loved the camaraderie, the thrill of the game, and the discipline it instilled in me. But alongside my love for sports, I was also deeply fascinated by computers and technology. Back then, I was what you might call a geek today—always tinkering with gadgets, coding, and diving into the world of tech long before it became mainstream. That combination of a competitive spirit from baseball and a passion for technology shaped me into who I am today. It taught me the value of teamwork, persistence, and the power of curiosity, all of which have been instrumental in my journey as a real estate photographer and IT professional.
