Check Out Cai Noelle’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cai Noelle.

Cai Noelle

Hi Cai, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I used to be insecure about everything I was: my teeth, hair, baby face, and, most of all, my body. I gave my hair so much heat damage trying to fit in, and I was cyberbullied to the point of depression and broke down. I’ve always been into modeling and fashion; however, I wasn’t confident enough. Now, I’ve learned to love the skin I’m in. I don’t want to fit in because I’m me. I want to use my platform to let other boys and girls out there with “abnormal” features know that no one else in this world will EVER look precisely like you, and that’s amazing!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My career has been far from a smooth road. Obstacles will always fumble across a journey to dreams and success. However, everyone should have a way to cope and express what they’re going through, and everyone indefinitely deserves something or someone to help overcome those challenges.

The past few years have been very crucial to me. “You’re too skinny.” “You look sick.” “Ugly.” These are all things I’ve heard growing up that devoured me on the inside and eventually lashed out from the outside. Without even knowing it, my dance teachers helped me realize that I could use dance as an escape and drop all my problems at the door. I’ve been dancing since I was six, but only for fun. I was always telling others stories through my body but never my own. I started using dance as a coping mechanism and eventually started to feel emotionally stronger; I started feeling like I could keep going. This is why I am a dance major today. I want to open my own studio one day and be what my dance teachers were to me.

I missed out on so many incredible modeling opportunities because of my insecurities. When Christina Milian’s clothing brand, We Are Pop Culture dropped, I was offered a chance to model for them. I self-sabotaged myself because I didn’t think I deserved it.

Dance saved me, and modeling forgave me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
If you look up “creative” in the dictionary, you’ll find me there modeling, dancing, singing, etc. I’m originally from Long Beach, California. I now reside in Phoenix, Arizona. I’m a commercial, beauty, and print model! I love this field in the modeling industry because it’s such a happy-go-lucky vibe. I especially love working with hair brands because I use my platform to help others with kinks and curls learn how to take care of and style their hair because I wish I had a friend like that online when I was in high school frying my hair, haha. But don’t get me wrong, skincare, makeup, and clothing are always delightful!

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
The Covid-19 crisis taught me that I can do anything! I picked up on some side hobbies I never thought I would be interested in, like sugar waxing. Now, I try any and everything. I tried shooting bow and arrows for the first time just last week. Who knew I could shoot like Katniss! I even competed in my very first pageant for Miss Arizona USA! My advice for everyone is to try new things. We only have one life, so live it to the fullest!
