Today we’d like to introduce you to Billie Casey-Jabore.
Hi Billie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born & raised in Australia “Gold Coast” Billie is a hometown girl at heart that has consistently traveled the world to train and gain not only creative growth but genuine connections with people that have shaped her into the artist she is.
Hailing from Australia and now residing in the USA, Billie is a well-rounded entrepreneur on and off stage, offering services to music artists, concert tours, corporate events and more.
As one of Australia’s finest Dancer/Choreographers specializing in the hip-hop and commercial industry, Billie was prepared to hit the ground running when moving her life to Los Angeles.
Having worked on major events such as Xfactor, Stereosonic, Big Day Out, Let Them Eat Cake, Laneway, Australian Open, and with artists such as Justin Bieber, Avicii, Peking Duk, Tiesto, Verse Simmonds, Plastique Tiara, Illy, Paula Abdul, Cobera Starship, Elena Rose, Jessica Mauboy, Miss Blanks & Briggs (to name a few) Billie believed she had what it takes to make her dreams a reality on the international scene.
With a determined mind, optimistic heart, courageous spirit, and the support of her family — Billie made the transition to leave Australia in July 2018.
For Billie, relocating to another country to essentially build her career again was so many things; empowering, scary, exciting, forced growth and broader perspective, challenging, vulnerable and confronting, expanding, but most of all it was a childhood dream come true. As she has always done, Billie worked hard to network, take classes, continue training, support like-minded dancers and creatives, expand her craft, and keep moving.
Because of this, Billie has been working for international artists including the likes of Neyo, Plastique Tiara, Rich The Kid, Elisa Savoca & Dyson. Representing some of the biggest accomplishments in her career to date, enabling her to successfully gain contacts for future work, opening up new doors in regard to her upcoming return to the United States.
Though covid19 has changed the world and the international dance and entertainment industry with it, Billie has taken this time to continue to work towards her goals. Billie is honoured to announce that she will soon be working with two new incredible artists in their field, which will propel her even further into working with more major artists — a dream come true for the Australian artist.
This announcement reveals that Billie will be working directly with Felix Sebasious, the senior vice president of “LIVE NATION”; one of the biggest event companies established in concert tours, handling artists such as Kanye, Haulsy, BTS & Drake. Felix is also the former VP of “UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP” & ROADRUNNER RECORDS who will be collaborating with Billie for specialised A&R ……..
Secondly, Billie will be working with the irreplaceable Amari Marshall who have worked for Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Rihanna & Laddy GaGa. Amari is leading a generation of up and coming underground artists and collaborating with Billie for Dancing/Choreographing/Directing selected artists for performances and film clips. This project aligns and deeply resonates with Billie’s true passion to break the mould and stereotypical expectations within the entertainment industry, aiming to celebrate diversity and showcase talent in its truest and most unique forms.
It is clear that Billie has worked tirelessly to successfully establish herself on the international scene, and has managed to develop a strong support team of creatives in the music industry by collaborating with well-respected figures in their field.
Billie’s ability to follow her heart and convictions on this journey is something to be admired, working to build others up and foster positive change within the industry to celebrate fellow artists based on their creative offering and talent rather than their appearance. Now more than ever Billie believes there are voices that need to be heard and seen, by connecting people and nations through artistic expression such as dance. This is what drives Billie to keep going, to keep dreaming, to keep pursuing artists she respects and admires.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been the hardest yet rewarding step I have ever made. Billie has financially supported herself through her travels. not having money has been hard, working jobs that are not necessarily my passion creatively to get by,
