Check Out Bharath Kanneganti’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bharath Kanneganti

Hi Bharath, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Andhra Pradesh, a beautiful state in the southern part of India known for its rich culture and history. Growing up, I was always fascinated by art and storytelling, which naturally led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Animation. Today, I am proud to say that my journey from a small town in Andhra Pradesh to a professional animator and environmental artist has been incredibly fulfilling. Each step, each project, and each challenge has contributed to my growth as an environmental artist and as a storyteller. Looking ahead, I am excited about the new opportunities and innovations in the field of visual story telling and am eager to continue pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved through this incredible medium.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
After completing my Bachelor’s in Animation, I faced the harsh reality of not finding a proper job in India within my field. This situation forced me to take a job in the IT industry. However, I constantly felt that something was missing, and I wasn’t satisfied with my work. Determined to pursue my dream in animation and VFX, I decided to give it another shot.

As a middle-class boy from a small city, I had limited resources to achieve my dreams. This realization pushed me to move out of my comfort zone. I flew to Los Angeles, the hub of movies and entertainment, and started taking courses in VFX and Animation at the New York Film Academy. Being an international student coming from a different culture and atmosphere, it took some time for me to adjust and understand the industry culture here.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an animator and VFX artist with a background in both traditional and digital animation techniques. My work spans a variety of projects, from short films and commercials to complex character designs and visual effects for movies. I specialize in bringing characters and stories to life through detailed animation and realistic visual effects, making the impossible seem possible on screen.

What I am most known for is my ability to blend creativity with technical precision. Whether it’s creating a lifelike character or crafting a stunning visual effect, I focus on the details that make each project unique and impactful. I have a knack for storytelling, ensuring that every frame contributes to the narrative and evokes the intended emotions from the audience. Recently i signed for Indian movie (Telugu movie ) as a vfx supervisor which is going to start by end of this year.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
The COVID-19 crisis taught me the importance of adaptability, resilience, work-life balance, community, and continuous learning. These lessons have not only helped me navigate the challenges of the pandemic but have also made me a stronger and more versatile professional.
